Jeff Pickler and Ed Sprague had three hits each, and former Durango and UNLV player Ryan Ludwick drove in three runs Wednesday as the Oklahoma RedHawks beat the Las Vegas 51s 9-3 in a Pacific Coast League game at Oklahoma City.
Colby Lewis (1-1) went six innings for the victory, allowing two runs and just two hits. Pickler had a double and two singles and Sprague drove in two runs.
The RedHawks scored single runs in the first and second. Sprague had a two-run single in the fourth, and Oklahoma scored twice more in the sixth to take a 6-0 lead.
Mike Kinkade hit a solo homer off Lewis in the seventh, and Bubba Crosby added a two-run shot off reliever Jesus Pena to get the 51s within 6-3. But the RedHawks added three runs in the bottom of the inning, two on a double by Ludwick.
