North Las Vegas restaurants could be delayed

The opening of five new restaurants that could attract almost 900 patrons to North Las Vegas could be delayed until September, because the developer is experiencing delays in getting permits and financing.
Planning commissioners Wednesday night granted more time to Rancho Del Norte Plaza Inc., the property owner trying to develop the restaurants and the North Las Vegas Sports Center at Camino al Norte and Rancho del Norte.
The Planning Commission originally approved the eateries on Sept. 26.
The restaurants include O'Reilly's Restaurant and Pub, Don Moskeeto's Restaurant and Lounge, Woody's Steakhouse and Surf Shop, Bandido's Mexican Restaurant and Fresca Grille.
Jim Childs, a consultant for the project, said it was taking the developer longer than expected.
