Letter: Let parents pay for schools
Thursday, May 9, 2002 | 8:46 a.m.
This has been said before: Let the parents with the kids in school pay tuition like they do in the colleges. They come here in droves, move into an apartment, put the kids in school, and the homeowners foot the bill.
There are a lot of seniors living here, myself included, living on a fixed income. We can't afford all these increases -- the schools are the biggest chunk of the property taxes.
So let's tax the parents. Any way you doctor it up, a can of dog food still tastes the same.
