Letter: Great city needs a great pro team

I love Las Vegas. I visit your fine city as often as possible and I'm very excited about the new development in the downtown area. Mayor Oscar Goodman may be right about all of Southern California coming to visit.
Now, my two cents. Can't Las Vegas get a professional sports franchise for the city? I've lived in cities with minor league teams and it's, well, if you will excuse me, "bush league." Minor league teams don't generate great revenue.
In the long run, a progressive Las Vegas will be looking for a major league franchise anyway. Do it now. A good pro team would have to generate huge revenues in Las Vegas.
