Camp Invention, a one-week national summer day camp for children in second through sixth grades in the 2002-2003 school year, will be held June 17-21 at Richard H. Bryan Elementary School, 8050 Cielo Vista Ave., and at James Gibson Elementary School, 271 Leisure Circle, Henderson; and June 24-28 at Estes M. McDoniel Elementary School, 1831 Fox Ridge Drive, Henderson.

Golf Challenge to raise money
The third annual Spring Classic Golf Challenge to benefit Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada will be 12:30 p.m. Monday at Siena Golf Club, 10575 Siena Monte Ave.
The golf challenge is open to local golfers at $150 and includes lunch, green fees/cart and goody bag, followed by a silent auction, which will include airline tickets, show tickets, dinners, and golf in Southern Nevada. Call 385-2662.
Sixth annual project scheduled
The Summerlin Children's Forum sixth annual Evening of Excellence dinner will be held 6 p.m. Saturday at JW Marriott Las Vegas, 221 N. Rampart Blvd.
The forum acknowledges and rewards outstanding student leaders in the community. As part of the program, a student, educator and parent from 15 Summerlin schools will attend the affair with a guest where they will be recognized for their community accomplishments.
The money raised from the event provides grants for projects and programs to Summerlin schools and organizations. Tickets are $150. For more information, call 256-7616.
Car museum celebration set
The St. Jude's Ranch for Children Antique Car Museum will celebrate its grand opening at 5:30 p.m. today at 100 St. Jude St., Boulder City.
The car museum will feature world-class automobiles such as a 1929 Duesenberg J Coupe, a 1932 Packard Custom Roadster, a 1929 Isotta-Fraschini Roadster, a 1931 Chrysler Towncar originally belonging to Walter P. Chrysler, an original, bulletproof and armor-plated Popemobile used by Pope John Paul II, Clark Cable's 1941 Harley Davidson motorcycle, a 1909 Thomas Flyer and more.

Area C-3 Tall Tales
and International Contests will be held 8 a.m. Saturday at Sprint, 330 S. Valley View Blvd. The event will feature a continental breakfast and raffle gifts. A winner from each contest will continue on to compete at the Division "C" Contest which will be held April 20. Call 893-2323.
The Nevada Fire Safe Council
invites the public to attend a meeting from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Learning Center, 2590 Lindell Road. The community is encouraged to attend and become an active members of the Council. The NFSC's mission is to improve the survivability of communities at high risk from forest and rangeland fires by organizing local chapters to reduce hazardous fuels and improve firefighting capabilities. Those who want to learn about planting
