Yemenidjian selling shares

Tuesday, May 7, 2002 | 11:13 a.m.

MGM MIRAGE director Alex Yemenidjian has filed to sell 210,000 shares of company stock, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The shares represent 32 percent of Yemenidjian's stake in the company, which is entirely in the form of stock options. The shares to be sold were valued at $8.19 million.

Yemenidjian formerly served as president of MGM Grand Inc., and is currently the chairman and chief executive of movie studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. Both companies are controlled by investor Kirk Kerkorian. An MGM MIRAGE spokesman deferred comment to Yemenidjian, who could not be reached.
