New York chef Tom Colicchio's new steakhouse at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas will open at the end of June.
Craftsteak will be in the space formerly occupied by the Brown Derby restaurant, an MGM Grand-owned restaurant that closed in March. Colicchio owns the Gramercy Tavern and the popular Craft and Craftbar in Manhattan. Craftsteak will be his first venture outside of New York.
"Las Vegas visitors are increasingly looking for well-known chefs and celebrity restaurants," MGM MIRAGE spokeswoman Jenn Michaels said.
The restaurant will be owned by MGM Grand, which is owned by resort giant MGM MIRAGE.
"Tom is one of the most respected chefs in the country," MGM Grand President Gamal Aziz said. "He will have an immediate impact on the Las Vegas dining landscape."
