Southwest Airlines will turn its Saturday-only nonstop round-trip flight between St. Louis and Las Vegas into a daily operation Sept. 15.
The Dallas-based airline, the largest carrier at McCarran International Airport, is taking delivery of four new Boeing 737 jets to increase service.
Among other new flights will be Southwest's first regularly scheduled coast-to-coast nonstop service between Baltimore and Los Angeles.
The St. Louis-Las Vegas market is dominated by American Airlines, which has an average five nonstop round trips a day.
Southwest said the new service will increase the number of daily Las Vegas flights it operates to 171.
