Rancho High School's Diversity Pop Choir, J.D. Smith Concert Choir and the choirs from C.P. Squires and Tom Williams elementary schools perform at 6 p.m. today at J.D. Smith Middle School, 1301 E. Tonopah Ave.

Meeting planned on improvements
The Nevada Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration and Clark County will hold a public meeting tonight on a proposal to make numerous improvements to Blue Diamond Road.
Proposed work includes a new interchange at Interstate 15 and Blue Diamond, widening of Blue Diamond from Las Vegas Boulevard to Rainbow Boulevard and connecting Blue Diamond with Windmill Road.
The meeting will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Enterprise Library, 25 E. Shelbourne Ave.
Downtown event this weekend
ArtFest of Henderson will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday along Water Street from Henderson City Hall to Atlantic Avenue.
The two-day festival will feature a silent auction to benefit Children of the Arts, entertainment, children's activities and food concessions. Admission and parking are free.
