MGM MIRAGE said it is offering access to its Internet websites through wireless devices, making it the first gaming company to do so.
Customers using web-enabled cell phones and personal digital assistants (PDAs) will be able to access the websites of the Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mirage, Treasure Island, New York-New York and Golden Nugget Las Vegas. The service will allow wireless device users to book hotel rooms, make reservations at restaurants, and get information about the resorts' offerings.
The service is being provided by Maxiom Mobile Technologies Inc. of Beverly, Mass.
