Warnaco Group Inc., which makes Calvin Klein jeans, Speedo swimsuits and Olga bras, has asked a federal bankruptcy judge to approve its plan to close 25 outlet stores nationwide, including Warnaco's Olga Warner's outlet store at the Belz Factory Outlet World on Las Vegas Boulevard South.

Warnaco, which filed Chapter 11 almost a year ago, said in its filing the stores it seeks to close are marginal performers.

The plan does not include any of Warnaco's Speedo Authentic Fitness stores or Calvin Klein jeans outlets.

Joel Weiden, a spokesman for Warnaco, said the company expects U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Richard L. Bohanon to rule on the company's motion in Manhattan on May 10.
