Cory drops out of campaign

Las Vegas attorney Tim Cory announced this morning that he will withdraw from the Clark County Commission District F race.

Cory was one of four Republicans challenging incumbent Erin Kenny, a Democrat seeking her third term serving residents in the southwest portion of the Las Vegas Valley. Kenny is the only Democrat in the race.

"I can't make the commitment of time and the resources right now," Cory said this morning. "It's an incredibly demanding process, and my professional obligations have become more demanding over the past eight months."

Cory, who has raised about $125,000, said he will reimburse his contributors.

Political experts had called Cory and Esther Quisenberry the front-runners in the Republican primary that will also include insurance company owner Heidi Vasas and Las Vegas city employee Devin Smith.
