Pacita O. Alano

Pacita O. Alano, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 13, 1914, in the Philippines. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by five daughters, Elisa Terrel and Madeline Galand, both of California, Wilhemia Legarda of Nevada and Josephine Alano and Celerina Tamayo, both of the Philippines; three sons, Adolfo Alano and Eusebio "Sonny" Alano, both of California, and Victorio Alano of the Philippines; three sisters, Herminia Rosario, Felicidad Siapno and Narcisa Carvajal, all of the Philippines; 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Services will be in the Philippines. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

William 'Clai' Anderson

William "Clai" Anderson, 29, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 4, 1972, in Emporia, Kan. A resident for 11 years, he was a student.

He is survived by his parents, Ronald E. and Marcia A. Anderson, one brother, Edward L. Anderson, two sisters, Krystallin Hernandez and Veronica Anderson, and his grandmother, Dorothy E. Long, all of Las Vegas.

Ella F. Bell

Ella F. Bell, 84, of Boulder City died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born July 28, 1917, in St. George, Utah. A resident for 79 years, she was a retired federal government tour guide.

She is survived by one daughter, Maxine Mansor of Boulder City; one stepson, Kenneth Bell Jr. of Lewiston, N.Y.; and one sister, Janet Dimick of Laverkin, Utah.

Visitation is scheduled 6-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Boulder City Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd.

Dale Boyd

Dale Boyd, 84, of Henderson died Tuesday. A mechanic, he was born Oct. 21, 1917, in Illinois.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Illinois. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Tim Burke

Tim Burke, 45, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born March 7, 1957, in Dublin, Ireland. A resident for 23 years, he was a general contractor.

He is survived by two sons, Austin Burke and Conner Burke, both of Las Vegas; his parents, Maizie and Patrick Burke of Mulvane, Kan.; one brother, Kevin Burke of Henderson; and one sister, Carmel Burke of Phoenix.

Mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Catherine Daly

Catherine Daly, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 22, 1915, in Italy. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Burt; one son, Michel Ranieri of Las Vegas; one daughter, Lucienne Wells of California; one sister, Andree Simon, and one brother, Francois Giacchino, both of France; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Thursday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Blvd. North. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Harriet Davidson

Harriet Davidson, 95, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. She was born April 5, 1907, in Chicago. A resident for 50 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Diane Schwartz of Las Vegas; one son, Robert Davidson of Fresno, Calif.; one brother, Richard Baltsen of Chicago; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Mary E. Doerr

Mary E. Doerr, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born March 25, 1929, in Portsmouth, Ohio. A resident for 40 years, she was an office manager for Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. for 28 years and a member of the Zelzah Shrine Patrol Ladies.

She is survived by her husband, Wilbur E. "Boo"; one son, Jerry Doerr of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Davis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

James Morris Gable

James Morris Gable, 50, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 30, 1951, in Pittsburg, Kan. A resident for four years, he was a craps dealer at Lady Luck, a lifetime member of the American Trapshooting Association and Kansas Trapshooting Association.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; two sons, Keith Noland Gable and Shaun William Gable, both of Hutchinson, Kan.; three stepdaughters, Sabrina Lee Ann Moneil and Heather Pifer, both of Langdon, Kan., and Jacqueline McNeil-Craig of Hutchinson; one stepson, Patrick McNeil of Denton, Texas; two sisters, Ruth Ann Gable Hessert of Venezuela and Kristen Gable Tiern of Singapore; and four grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. A memorial service will be in Hutchinson. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Barbara Gaskin, 59, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born April 17, 1943, in Cincinnati. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Rickey; one son, Bret Clancy of Manitowoc, Wis; and one sister, Tani Aye of Las Vegas.

Joan Haggart

Joan Haggart, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born May 24, 1933, in New Castle, England. A resident for 17 years, she was a cashier.

She is survived by her husband, Albert W.

Ann Hanley

Ann Hanley, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 8, 1918.

She is survived by her husband, Peter; one daughter, Patricia, and one son, John, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Jean of Chicago; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Jeannette Heifler

Jeannette Heifler, 97, of Las Vegas died Friday. A homemaker, she was born March 28, 1905, in Russia.

Dale Leon Holland

Dale Leon Holland, 54, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born May 22, 1947, in Upland, Calif. A resident for seven years, he was a retired hotel cook.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; one son, David of Las Vegas; three daughters, Myra of Texas, Angel of Laughlin and Robin of Las Vegas; one brother, Darryl of Portland, Ore.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Willard Olaf Honsvick

Willard Olaf Honsvick, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 10, 1930, in Utah. A resident for 12 years, he was an Air Force electronics specialist, Korean War veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille; one son, Willard Honsvick Jr. of Washington state; one stepson, Clayton Biewer of Wisconsin; one stepdaughter, Theresa Jensen of Schaumburg, Ill.; four brothers, Wilford Honsvick of Toquerville, Utah, Thorvald Honsvick and Harold Honsvick, both of California, and Glen Honsvick of Idaho; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Friday in the LDS Christy and Harris chapel. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Betty M. Johnston

Betty M. Johnston, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born April 17, 1930, in Camp Verde, Ariz. A resident for 14 years, she was a grocery store cashier.

She is survived by her husband, George; four sons, Bobby Byars of Flagstaff, Ariz., Donald Byars of Mesa, Ariz., and Richard Johnston and Troy Johnston, both of Phoenix; two sisters, Laura Gregory of Cottonwood, Ariz., and Zola Stanford of Phoenix; and six grandchildren.

Sylvia M. LaMontagne

Sylvia M. LaMontagne, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 3, 1927, in Florence, Italy. A resident for nine years, she was a retired waitress.

She is survived by her partner, James L. Sall of Las Vegas; one son, Larry F. Stephens of Troy, Ill.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Charles W. 'King Kool' Lawson

Charles W. "King Kool" Lawson, 52, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 23, 1949, in Gasden, Ala. A resident for 23 years, he was a retired hotel kitchen assistant.

He is survived by his mother, Mollie Lawson, two sisters, Myra Davis-Alston and Connie Lawson, and his special friend, Joseph Sheehan, all of Las Vegas.

Lee Walter Mason

Lee Walter Mason, 57, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 28, 1944, in Wallace, Idaho. A resident for 10 years, he was a manager at Southwest Gas Corp., a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of Rotary International.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; one son, Jeffery; one daughter, Valarie; one brother, Charles; and one grandchild.

Lawrence Gerald Mossett Jr.

Lawrence Gerald Mossett Jr., 65, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 18, 1937, in South Dakota. A resident for 26 years, he was a direct marketing executive and a former Air Force pilot.

He is survived by one daughter, Valorie Ventimiglia; his mother, Helen A. Mossett; three brothers, John, James and Rocky; four sisters, Lila, Betty, Shirley and Debbie; and three grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Bridget's Catholic Church, 220 N. 14 St. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, is handling arrangements.

Florence Murphy

Florence Murphy, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 27, 1929, in New York City. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker and a member of St. Rita's Parish Council and the Rosary Society.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph W.; two daughters, Deborah Simkins and Linda Lynch, and one sister, Lorraine Flanagan, all of Las Vegas; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Jack F. Neubauer

Jack F. Neubauer, 72, of Pahrump died Monday in Las Vegas. A propane delivery driver, he was born March 6, 1930, in Wisconsin.

He is survived by his wife, Grace; two sons, Marvin Neubauer of Meyers, Calif., and Michael Hegyes of North Carolina; two daughters, Anita Brown of Springfield, Mo., and Graceanne Capagli of Henderson; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Marie O'Briant

Marie O'Briant, 23, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born March 2, 1979, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a bus person at Treasure Island.

She is survived by one daughter, Alexis Hodge, her mother, Foon O'Briant, and three brothers, Suparb Benpard, Mork Benpard and Donald O'Briant, all of Las Vegas; and four sisters, Yupin Benpard, Prapa Taggart and Nancy Hull, all of Las Vegas, and Susan Stringfellow of Moab, Utah.

Lillian Politzer

Lillian Politzer, 87, of Henderson died Sunday in a local care center. She was born May 25, 1914, in New York City. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker and a member of Hadassah.

She is survived by one daughter, Betty Chapnick of Henderson; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

William A. Risley, 67, of Boulder City died Sunday in Santa Clara, Utah. He was born July 30, 1934, in Ord, Neb. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired federal government chief of security and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; three sons, Joe Risley of Reno, Michael Risley of Thurmont, Md., and William Risley Jr. of Santa Fe, N.M.; his mother, Innis Risley, and one sister, Suanne Belding, both of Boulder City; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Richard Salas

Richard Salas, 54, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 15, 1947, in Casablanca, Morocco. A resident for 13 years, he was a warehouse manager and a member of the Golden Memories Classic Cars Club in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife, Henrietta J.; his mother, Georgette Salas of Las Vegas; two sisters, Claudia Lofredo and Sylvia Lodge, both of California; and three brothers, Joseph Salas of Las Vegas and Johnny Salas and Gilbert Salas, both of California.

Consuelo Shofner, 67, of Las Vegas died April 8 in Las Vegas. She was born July 13, 1934, in Guatemala. A resident for 45 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one nephew, Mario Medrano of San Bernardino, Calif.

Thomas L. Thorpe

Thomas L. Thorpe, 67, of Las Vegas died April 4 in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 26, 1934, in Nebraska. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired Boeing Aircraft engineer, a Vietnam War Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion.

Graveside services were scheduled at 9:20 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Brigitte T. Vidican

Brigitte T. Vidican, 37, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born July 16, 1964, in Culver City, Calif. A resident for five years, she was a waitress.

She is survived by two daughters, Nicole Vidican and Jessica Emery, both of Henderson; her father, Jean Vidican of Seattle; two brothers, James Vidican of Marietta, Ga., and Jean-Pierre Vidican of Seattle; and two sisters, Therese Davis of Torrance, Calif., and Thelma Tihopu of Reseda, Calif.

Ronald Wagner, 51, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born March 20, 1951, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired slot floor supervisor.

He is survived by his wife, Angela G.; two daughters, Christine Gonzalez and Melissa Perry, one son, Marc Wagner, and one brother, Robert Wagner, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Joanne Sagliani of Belair, Md., and Helena Candino and Kathleen Tripi, both of Buffalo; and his grandparents, Constance and Thomas Wagner of Las Vegas.

Services were scheduled at 3 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., followed by graveside services in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

William B. Williams

William B. Williams, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct.2, 1913, in Colquit, Ga. A resident of Boulder City for 20 years and a Las Vegas resident for one year, he was a retired operating engineer and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Cecile Keaveney of San Leandro, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 5 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Chevalier Timothy Wilson

Chevalier Timothy Wilson, 39, of Las Vegas died April 19 in a local hospital. He was born April 24, 1962, in Chicago. A resident for 20 years, he was a lifeguard.

He is survived by his father, Dorris Wilson of Detroit; his mother, Bobbie Wilson, four brothers, Bobby Wilson, Kenneth Wilson, Mark Wilson and Troy Wilson, and three sisters, Teresa Wilson, Michelle Wilson and Nina Wilson, all of Chicago.
