Elizabeth A. Barner

Elizabeth A. Barner, 77, of Las Vegas died March 20 in Las Vegas. She was born June 15, 1924, in Wisconsin. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, William; one daughter, Diane Haas of Lake Forest, Calif.; one brother, Curtis Krogh; three sisters, Opal Cota, Verna Hansen and Pearl Paulson; and two grandchildren.

Michael Stephen Burroughs

Michael Stephen Burroughs, 26, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 25, 1975, in Lansdale, Pa. A resident for five years, he was a bartender.

He is survived by his father, Allan H. Burroughs Jr., of Las Vegas; his mother, Nancy Hamm of Kitnersville, Pa.; and one brother, Allan H. Burroughs III, of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be held in Souderton, Pa. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., handled arrangements.

Gary Wilder Commack

Gary Wilder Commack, 48, of Las Vegas died Friday in California. He was born Feb. 13, 1954, in Tennessee. A longtime resident, he was a Union Pacific Railroad conductor.

He is survived by his wife, Janice; one son, Jermel "Verge" Commack; his father and stepmother, William Commack and Ellen Commack of Iowa; two sisters, Donna and Stephanie of Las Vegas; and one brother, Terry of California.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Morturary, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be noon Friday in International Church of Las Vegas, 8100 Westcliff Ave.

Thomas Francis Cooper

Thomas Francis Cooper, 90, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 11, 1911. A resident for 11 years, he was a pipe fitter.

He is survived by three sons, Thomas Cooper, Gerald Cooper and John Cooper, all of Illinois; one daughter, Mary Ann Suver of Nevada; one brother, William Cooper; one sister Margaret Rueger; 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9-11 a.m. services Friday in Desert Memorial Chapel, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society is handling arrangements.

Kenneth Eldon Davis

Kenneth Eldon Davis, 54, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Spanaway, Wash. He was born Jan. 31, 1948, in Wendell, Idaho.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; three daughters, Erica Pick and Starr David, both of Las Vegas, and Brenna Davis of Spanaway; one son, Frank Davis of Las Vegas; his father, G. Ray Newman of Salem, Utah; four brothers, Michael Davis of Oroville, Calif., Dan Newman of St. George, Utah, Randy Newman of Baker, Ore., and Jan Newman of Elk Ridge, Utah; two sisters, Diana Petersen and Darla Herdt, both of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Services will be held noon Saturday in Overton, followed by burial in Overton City Cemetery. Metcalf Mortuary handled arrangements.

Dorothy R. Dunlap

Dorothy R. Dunlap, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 16, 1925, in Van Buren, Ark. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Col. Jack A. Dunlap; one son, Karl A. Dunlap of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Margaret Wunder of Troy, Mich., and Mary Lou Tucker of Victorville, Calif.

Robert Anthony Fischer

Robert Anthony Fischer, 80, of Las Vegas died March 21 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 14, 1921, in Chicago. A resident for 18 years, he was an electronics engineer, World War II Marine Corps veteran and a member of the barber shop singing organization SPEBSQSA.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; one son, Jay Fischer; one daughter, Judith Marie York; one sister, Shirley Ferguson; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

George Heffner

George Heffner, 76, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born March 4, 1926, in Kosciusko, Miss. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired county secretary-treasurer, World War II Army veteran, president and founder of Neuropathy Support Group.

He is survived by his wife, Nedra; two sons, Duane Heffner of Boulder Creek, Calif., and Kyle Heffner of Los Angeles; one daughter, Kim Heffner-Wenzl of Las Vegas; two sisters, Johnnie Rivere and Jeanette Troup, both of St. Louis; two brothers, James Heffner of Portland, Ore., and Eulice Heffner of St. Louis; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Green Valley United Methodist Church, 2200 Robindale Road, followed by burial in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. The family suggest donations to the Neuropathy Association.

Edith A. Hertzfeld

Edith A. Hertzfeld, 68, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 5, 1933, in Pennsylvania. A longtime resident, she was a nurse.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Hampton of Westchester, Pa., Deborah Miller of Downington, Pa., and Bonnie Jackson of Westchester, Pa.

Burial will be in Pennsylvania. Hites Funeral Home, 438 W. Sunset Road, is handling arrangements.

Beckie Ann Holm

Beckie Ann Holm, 50, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 31, 1951, in Los Angeles. A resident for 49 years, she was a beautician.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald; one daughter, Mary A. Holm of Reno; one son, Michael E. Holm, and her father, Leone M. Croft, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Mildred Iatarola, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Sept. 29, 1929, in Chicago. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; one son, Deano Iatarola of Las Vegas; one sister, Marilyn Urban of Oak Park, Ill.; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 9 until 11 a.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Sinclair Johnson

Sinclair Johnson, 69, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 4, 1932, in South Carolina. A resident for six years, he was a retired Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Julia; two sons, Sinclair Johnson Jr., and Kevin; and one brother, Chester Johnson.

Visitation is scheduled 1 until 3 p.m. services Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Patricia Louise Kemp

Patricia Louise Kemp, 66, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 21, 1935, in Michigan. A longtime resident, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Bambi McCrea of Cherry Valley, Ill., and Betsy A. Kemp of Las Vegas.

Larae Kunz

Larae Kunz, 54, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 11, 1947, in Idaho. A longtime resident, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Kunz.

Al Mills

Al Mills, 64, of Reno died Saturday in a medical center. He was born Oct. 31, 1937, in Wayne, Mich. A former Las Vegas resident, he was an aircraft mechanic for Delta Airlines and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dianne; two daughters, Christy Tidwell of La Grange, Ga., and Cindy Robichaux of Reno; his parents, Dick and Hilda Mills of Wayne; three sisters, Virginia Walp of Santa Fe, Tenn., Marilyn Fowler of Garden City, Mich., and Arleen Edmunds of Wayne; one brother, Clifford Mills of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 7-9 p.m. today in Walton's Sierra Chapel, 875 W. Second St., Reno. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in South Reno Baptist Church, followed by burial in Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Fernley.

Robert C. Nelson

Robert C. Nelson, 70, of Henderson died March 16 in Boulder City. He was born Sept. 3, 1931, in New York. A longtime resident, he was a janitor.

He is survived by his companion, Tillie Lucero of Boulder City.

Wanda G. Nine

Wanda G. Nine, 94, of Las Vegas died March 15 in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 31, 1908, in Nebraska. A resident for 18 years, she was an assembly supervisor for Western Electric and a member of Las Vegas bowling leagues.

She is survived by one son, Joe Kudelka; two daughters, Beth Kudelka and Dona Davis.

Denice Rae Parido

Denice Rae Parido, 39, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 29, 1962, in Mesa, Ariz. A resident for five years, she was disabled.

She is survived by her husband, Ron; two daughters, Bethany Lynn Harding and Racheal Harding, and one son, Daryle Harding Jr., all of Pittsburg, Calif.; her mother, Sharon Baker, and one brother, Tony Smith, both of Bullhead City, Ariz., and two sisters, Stephanie Dunn of Bullhead City and Dawn Purdom of Phoenix.

Mary Louise Pasquini

Mary Louise Pasquini, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1923, in Jasper, Ark. A resident for 16 years, she was a waitress and member of the American Legion.

She is survived by one son, Terry Bedford of Las Vegas; and one daughter, Deborah Bedford of Laguna Hills, Calif.

William C. Sires

William C. Sires, 88, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born Aug. 17, 1913, in Vernon, Texas. A resident for 29 years, he was a retired manager for an aircraft manufacturing company.

He is survived by one daughter, Judith Vitto of Las Vegas; one son, Stephen Sires of Simi Valley, Calif.; one brother, Jiggs Sires, and one sister, Hazel Wells, both of Blythe, Calif.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Virginia Kenyon Thomas, 72, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 29, 1929, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for nine years, she was a nurse.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph Thomas and John M. Thomas, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Christine Hans of Las Vegas and Clare Bryan of Starke, Fla.; three brothers, William Kinnear and John Kinnear, both of Redding, Calif., and Leonard Kinnear of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 12:40 p.m. in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Don Arnold Washington Jr.

Don Arnold Washington Jr., 33, of Las Vegas died March 20 in Seattle. He was born May 6, 1968, in Riverside, Calif. A resident for six months, he was a self-employed computer businessman.

He is surved by his parents, Don and Sharon Washington of Las Vegas; a grandfather, Elbert Boykin of Shreveport, La.; four brothers, Patrick Wycough, Donald Wycough and Lawrence Wycough, all of Seattle, and Gregory Washington of Riverside; and four sisters, Sharice M. Washington and LaTina D. Washington, both of Las Vegas, and Cassaundra Wycough and Tiffany Wycough, both of Seattle.

Helen A. West

Helen A. West, 91, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 13, 1910, in Versailles, Mo. A resident for 34 years, she was a retired owner of a garment company.

She is survived by two sons, John West and William West, both of Las Vegas; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Jones, followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park.
