Class: Junior
Sport: Softball
Currently: A co-captain and third-year starter, Hanson has been the Hoosiers' most productive hitter in 2002. Through 20 games, she is batting .446 and slugging .862 and has 15 extra-base hits (including five homers) to her credit, along with 13 RBIs and seven steals. The catcher/third baseman helped the hosts to the title at last weekend's Indiana Invitational, blasting a walk-off home run against Loyola (Chicago), and has now hit safely in nine consecutive games for the Hoosiers (9-10-1).
Looking back: One of the area's top catchers during her prep career, Hanson helped the Skyhawks to four straight 4A Southern Zone titles while earning four varsity letters.
