Assemblywoman Sandra Tiffany is recovering at home today after weeks of hospitalization for a severe septic shock reaction that almost claimed her life.
Tiffany, R-Henderson, was discharged Friday from Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, Calif., and will spend several weeks recovering before re-starting her campaign for the state Senate.
The 52-year-old lawmaker was rushed to the hospital March 4 after suffering severe pain on board a plane heading to a conference in Sacramento. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital when the plane had a scheduled stop in Burbank.
Tiffany underwent surgery for kidney stones but was suffering from septic shock, requiring her to undergo dialysis and use a respirator.
