Rebels’ Richardson in slam-dunk contest

UNLV men's basketball senior Chris Richardson will be on hand as college basketball's best shooters and slam-dunk artists will converge on Atlanta next week for the 14th Annual Slam Dunk and Three-Point Championships.

This year's event will take place on the campus of Georgia State University at the GSU Sports Arena on Thursday. The sharpshooters and slammers will be showcased in the two-hour ESPN telecast that will be seen on Saturday, March 30 (11 a.m. - 1 p.m. PST).

Besides Richardson, others scheduled to participate in the slam-dunk contest include Devin Brown of Texas-San Antonio, Brandon Dean of Arkansas, Michael Gholar of Mississippi State, Adam Hall of Virginia, Ryan Humphrey of Notre Dame, Frederick Jones of Oregon and Rolan Roberts of Southern Illinois.
