Union (Okla.) 8, Green Valley 8, 8 inn.: The Gators' Kevin Day went 3-for-4 with a double, four RBIs and two homers, the latter a two-run shot that sent the game into the eighth inning. The teams then exchanged runs before the game was called due to darkness.
Palo Verde 8, Rancho 5: Brandon Kintzler went 2-4 with an RBI and Ryan Bonnot had a triple and an RBI to lead the Panthers.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Chaparral def. Durango, 15-2, 16-14, 15-3: The Cowboys got 23 assists from Sam Marshall, 19 kills from David Garrard and 11 kills and seven blocks from Greg Rhodes. Ken Huffman had 18 assists for the Blazers in the loss.
