Letter: Ensign not interested in job
Wednesday, March 20, 2002 | 9:07 a.m.
I'm not very fond of John Ensign to start with, and I wouldn't vote for him for dog catcher, much less for the Senate. I think now is the time for the Democrats to replace Ensign.
He evidently isn't interested in serving the people while in the Senate. So let him off the hook and let him stay home all the time.
I always thought the Senate was a full-time job. If he's not interested enough in Washington, I don't think the people of Nevada need him.
I'd also like to let Harry Reid know that he could have picked a better choice for Congress than that county commissioner. I don't think enough of him to mention his name.
I'll be voting for the man from Boulder City.
