Alliance Gaming Corp. of Las Vegas has received an "Access Award" from the American Foundation for the Blind in recognition of a slot line themed after singer Ray Charles.
The Ray Charles slot machines all feature audio cues and braille buttons that give blind players the ability to play the machine and experience its bonus features. The slot machines are awaiting regulatory approval in Nevada, New Jersey, Mississippi and tribal gaming jurisdictions.
The award recognizes "individuals, corporations and organizations that are eliminating or substantially reducing inequities faced by people who are blind or visually impaired."
