3 killers’ appeals rejected

CARSON CITY -- Three men convicted of first-degree murder in Clark County in different killings and each sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole have lost their appeals to the Nevada Supreme Court.
The court affirmed the convictions of Jack Getz, Emery Slayden and Juan Valenzuela, rejecting arguments there was insufficient evidence at the trials, they were not read their rights before talking to detectives and improper evidence was admitted.
