William Acker Sr.
William Acker Sr., 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 24, 1929, in Fayetteville, N.C. A resident for 15 years, he was a manager for a catering company and Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Marion; two sons, William Acker Jr., and Frank Acker, and one daughter, Mary-Mallette Acker, all of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Julia Muvey, Eleanor Deaton and Mary Seale, all of Fayetteville.

Pauline M. Bryant
Pauline M. Bryant, 74, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born May 2, 1927, in Glasco, Kan. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon R.; three daughters, Linda Lee Hungerford of Aurora, Colo., Deborah L. Adams of Henderson and Paula Sue Armstrong of Las Vegas; one son, Ricky R. Bryant of Wasilla, Alaska; two brothers, Robert Benson of Greeley, Colo., and Ross Benson of Kennewick, Wash.; and seven grandchildren.

James Patrick Cass
James Patrick Cass, 82, of Las Vegas died March 3 in a local care center. He was born Jan. 5, 1920, in New York. A resident for five years, he was an engineer, Army veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by one son, Brian Patrick Cass of Nebraska; one daughter, Brenda Lee Jenkins of Las Vegas; one sister, Mary Greeves of Florida; and five grandchildren.
Burial was Tuesday in Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, handled arrangements.
Barbara E. Cook
Barbara E. Cook, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 24, 1931, in Portland, Ore. A resident for 37 years, she was a secretary at Roy Martin Middle School 1965-1992, a member of the Wives of the Jeep Posse and the Antoinettes.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; two daughters, Judy H. Jewett of Henderson and Susan R. Ammirato of Bowie, Md.; two sons, Charles R. Cook of Paragould, Ark., and Arlin L. Houser of Las Vegas; one brother, Frank R. Holliday of Grants Pass, Ore.; and five grandchildren.
Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., handled private services. Private burial was planned at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Dorothy S. Cornell
Dorothy S. Cornell, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 30, 1915, in Illinois. A resident for six months, she was a bookkeeper.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Casler Sr., and Michael Casler; one daughter, Susan C. Griffith; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Jimmie E. Davis
Jimmie E. Davis, 46, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 23, 1956, in Riverside, Calif. A resident for 32 years, he was a general contractor.
He is survived by one daughter, Marianna Davis of Arlington, Texas; his parents, Dave and Margie Sheline, and two brothers, Bruce Barton and Warren Moore, all of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Renae Barton of Salton City, Calif., Pamela Leavitt of Beaver Dam, Ariz., and Connie Schreiber of Granada Hill, Calif.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
John D. Emory
John D. Emory, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 24, 1921, in Greenup County, Ky. A resident for 17 years, he was a property management worker and World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by three daughters, Jerry Powell of Las Vegas, Sue Embrey of Tustin, Calif., and Rita Burns of Irvine, Calif.; three brothers, Orville Emory of California City, Calif., and LeRoy Emory and Floyd Emory, both of Bucyrus, Ohio; one sister, Virgie Salyers of Baltimore, Md.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Graveside services will be 2:40 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Elme Ruth Englebright
Elme Ruth Englebright, 94, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 21, 1907, in Pueblo, Colo. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Gayle Hedge of Las Vegas; and one granddaughter, Bobelle Lee.

Kathleen E. Farrell
Kathleen E. Farrell, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday. She was born March 1, 1925, in New Jersey. A resident for 21 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Lisanti, and one son, John E. Farrell, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Edward Whelan of Nutley, N.J.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Dorothy R. Frazier, 90, of Henderson died Tuesday in Boulder City. She was born April 20, 1911, in Marion, Ohio. A resident for 47 years, she was a saleswoman.
She is survived by one son, Robert R. Frazier of Las Vegas; and one daughter, Sharon Edwards of Henderson.

Marge Glasgow
Marge Glasgow, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born March 1, 1919, in Altoona, Pa. A resident for six months, she was a retired bookkeeper.
She is survived by one daughter, Carla Glasgow of Las Vegas; and one sister, Phyllis Knaus of Rosemead, Calif.

Richard M. Hester
Richard M. Hester, 31, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 4, 1970, in Santa Monica, Calif. A resident for nine years, he was a casino floor manager.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; two sons, Jacob Hester and Austin Hester, both of Las Vegas; his father, Steve Hester of Apple Valley, Calif.; one sister, Monica Namanny of Las Vegas; and one brother, Mark Hester of El Dorado, Calif.
Services will be 5 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Toquerville Cemetery.

Joseph B. Keaton
Joseph B. Keaton, 86, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born April 15, 1915, in California. A resident for one year, he was an automotive salesman and Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Nina Mable; one son, Joseph Dennis Keaton; one daughter, Kathy Smith; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Calvin Ellies Kelley
Calvin Ellies Kelley, 69, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born May 18, 1932, in Bentley, Okla. A resident for 25 years, he was retired lumber worker.
He is survived by his wife, Lois J.; two sons, Dale Stacy Kelley of Las Vegas and Clayton B. Kelley of Oklahoma; one daughter, Jeanne Marie Kelley of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Hazel, Maxine and Charlene, all of Oklahoma.

Joseph T. Lennon
Joseph T. Lennon, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born July 29, 1920, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired sanitation worker, World War II Army veteran and a member of American Legion, DAV and Retired Officers Association.
He is survived by his wife, Marion; one daughter, Eileen Lennon of Las Vegas; two sons, Dennis Lennon of Denver and Thomas Lennon of Boulder, Colo.; one brother, John Lennon of Toms River, N.J.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Guardian Angel Cathedral, 336 Cathedral Way.
Dean Taylor Linson
Dean Taylor Linson, 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born July 7, 1917, in Indiana. A resident for 30 years, he was a salesman.
He is survived by his wife, Erica; one son, Gary; and four daughters, Marybeth, LeAne, Janie Roberts and Sharon.

Pearlie Magee
Pearlie Magee, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 18, 1928, in Newellton, La. A resident for 49 years, she was a hotel guest room attendant.
She is survived by her husband, James; six daughters, Lee Joyce Alex, Helen Weathers, Elenora Walker, Lola Winston, Pearlie Mae Magee and Angela Walker, and one sister, Lottie Fair, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Percy Davis of New Orleans; 19 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Powerhouse Church of God in Christ, 1216 W. Adams Ave., followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Andrew Joseph Mailman
Andrew Joseph Mailman, 65, of Los Angeles died March 5 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 13, 1936, in Los Angeles. A resident for 50 years, he was a truck equipment operator.
He is survived by one sister, Virginia L. Fraser of Oregon; and two grandchildren.

Max M. Martin
Max M. Martin, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born Dec. 25, 1922, in Crawfordsville, Iowa. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired realty manager, World War II Navy veteran, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite for 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; three daughters, Brenda Martin of Denver, Rhonda Perez of Washington, Utah, and Sondra Booher of Las Vegas; two sons, Richard Martin of Longmont, Colo., and Roger Martin of Irving, Texas; and one grandchild.

Paul Patterson, 86, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 28, 1915, in Mangum, Okla. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired iron worker and member of Iron Workers Local 433.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Mercer of Dallas and Linda A. Forston of Red Oak, Texas; one son, Charles Patterson; and five grandchildren.

He is survived by one son, Michael J. Reilly of Bradford, R.I.; three daughters, Colleen Anne Kahn of Olathe, Kan., Patricia Ann Caruso of Columbus, Ohio, and Doreen A. Walczak of Plymouth, Mich.; one brother, Dr. Bernard J. Reilly of Brighton, Mich.; and nine grandchildren.

Ellen Schiessl, 66, of Pahrump died Monday in Henderson. She was born Oct. 31, 1935, in Washington. A resident for five years, she was a teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred; one son, Alfred Schiessl of Washington; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

William C. Schneider
William C. Schneider, 53, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 12, 1948, in Cincinnati. A resident for 10 years, he was a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Lonna Burress; one daughter, Kate Burress-Schneider of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Arlene Schwab and Marilyn Niehouse, both of Cincinnati.

Helen "Nina" Serlin, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born July 23, 1916, in Chicago. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker and a member of ORT, was active in Girl Scout Brownies and Este Lauder Ladies.
She is survived by three daughters, Karen Levin of Henderson, Sandy Stokes of Las Vegas and Heidi Birenbaum of Tustin, Calif.; one sister, Edith Roebuck of Bal Harbor, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 3 p.m. today in King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 Eldorado Lane, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband, Gary; one son, Adam Sternberg, and one daughter, Pammi Blackmon, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 Eldorado Lane, followed by burial in King David Cemetery.
