Irene Louise Andrews

Irene Louise Andrews, 78, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born March 19, 1923, in Iowa. A resident for 28 years, she was a Clark County School District computer technician and a member of the Women's Retired Officers Club and various RV clubs.

She is survived by her husband, Jack E.; two sons, Jack E. Andrews and Jeffrey D. Andrews; two daughters, Rebecca L. Kay and Marjorie J. Elster; one sister, Dolores Skalsky; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Telesforo B. Babas

Telesforo B. Babas, 95, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 1, 1907, in the Philippines. A resident for 12 years, he was a schoolteacher for 30 years.

He is survived by one daughter, Blesilda Fontillas of Las Vegas; one sister, Leonila Silao of the Philippines; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. services Friday in Nevada Funeral Service, 2983 Fremont St.

Elizabeth Bearden

Elizabeth Bearden, 89, of Pahrump died Tuesday in Pahrump. She was born Jan. 12, 1913, in Long Beach, Calif. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Peel and Janice Johnston, both of Pahrump; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road, Pahrump.

Dorothy M. Betterton

Dorothy M. Betterton, 89, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. She was born Nov. 19, 1912, in Meeker, Colo. A resident for 55 years, she was a retired beauty school owner.

She is survived by one son, Gary Pellissier, and one stepdaughter, Susan Phillips, both of Las Vegas; one stepson, Robert McElvany of Oklahoma; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park.

Herbert J. Breen Jr.

Herbert J. Breen Jr., 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 11, 1924, in Chicago. A resident for six years, he was a retired insurance sales manager and World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Alice M.; one son, Herbert J. Breen III, of Fresno, Calif.; one daughter, Victoria A. Hagar of Seattle; one sister, Rosemary Urban of Thornton, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 4519 Simmons St., North Las Vegas. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Ardina Cadney, 79, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 31, 1922, in Mississippi. A longtime resident, she was a nurse's aide.

She is survived by two daughters, Janice Cadney of Chicago and Karen Johnson of Las Vegas.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Chicago. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Adelia G. Cameron

Adelia G. Cameron, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 3, 1922, in Morris, Minn. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired telephone operator.

She is survived by two daughters, Faye Ash and Rebecca Woodson, both of Las Vegas; and two sons, Dale G. Ash of Basalt, Colo., and Richard K. Ash of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Visitation is scheduled 1-4 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Vera Hawkins Coby

Vera Hawkins Coby, 57, of Las Vegas died March 3 in a local hospital. She was born June 10, 1944, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a cook.

She is survived by one son, Travis Coby Jr., two daughters, Cherie Hawkins and Ericka Coby, two brothers, Clarence Hawkins and Willie James Hawkins, and three sisters, Essie Lee Walker, Bessie Coffield and Verlie Ross, all of Las Vegas; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Evergreen Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St., followed by burial at Palm-Main Street.

Ellen E. Cofrin, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 18, 1920, in Germany. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired waitress.

Virginia G. Cronister

Virginia G. Cronister, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 13, 1917, in Springfield, Ill. A resident for 16 years, she was a retired cashier.

She is survived by her husband, John; one daughter, Sydnee Mendez of Las Vegas; two sons, Gordon Cronister of Chili, and Peter Cronister of Boise, Idaho; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Helen Davis

Helen Davis, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 26, 1920, in Minnersville, Pa. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, James V.; three daughters, Joan Brooks of Las Vegas, Ann Marie Beckson of Pacific Palasides, Calif., and Donna Davis of San Francisco; one son, James J. Davis of Phoenix; one brother, Michael Ostafy of Wilmington, Del.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Thursday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Miles Delvitt, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 7, 1928, in New York. A resident for five years, he was a Merchant Marine veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta.

Ann Dugas

Ann Dugas, 88, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. Born Aug. 11, 1913, in Pennsylvania, she was a registered nurse.

He is survived by one daughter, Carol Lynn Veach.

Visitation was scheduled 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. services today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Alabama.

Bernice Ernst

Bernice Ernst, 78, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. Born Sept. 15, 1923, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Ann Wannemacher and Beverly Wison, both of New York; two sisters, Dorothy Gold of Florida and Irene Liebner of New York; and three grandchildren.

Margaret Theresa Feneck, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 22, 1933, in New York City. A resident for 12 years, she was a secretary and in telemarketing sales.

She is survived by her husband, John; one daughter, Theresa Stewart of Oklahoma, two stepsons, John Feneck Jr. of Missouri and Michael Feneck of Massachusetts; three brothers, George Gunning III, Patrick Gunning and Robert Gunning, all of California; two sisters, Maureen Egley of Pennsylvania and Sheila Ebling of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Pauline Betty Gaskins

Pauline Betty Gaskins, 91, of Pahrump died Saturday in a local care center. She was born May 11, 1910, in Palestine, Ill. A former Las Vegas resident for one year, she was a retired dancer.

She is survived by one nephew, Robert Stevens of Vincennes, Ind.; and one niece, Susan Talbert of Pahrump.

Glenn Goslar

Glenn Goslar, 54, of Goodsprings died Sunday in a local care center. He was born Oct. 15, 1947, in Camby Minn. A resident for 40 years, he was a superintendent in the construction industry and a Vietnam Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rene; one son, Ricky Goslar of Las Vegas; one stepdaughter, Darla Kenyon of Rosemond, Calif.; one stepson, Bryan O'Neill of Laguna Beach, Calif.; his mother, Mary Phillips, and one sister, Iva Watson, both of Lodi, Calif.; one brother, Doug Goslar of Belleview, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Morton J. Gottesman, 89, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 24, 1913, in Detroit. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired owner/ operator of a steel manufacturing company and a member of Bet Knesset Bamidbar Synagogue, City of Hope and the Jewish Friendship Club.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two daughters, Judy Applebaum and Marsha Davila, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Patricia D. Hamilton

Patricia D. Hamilton, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 1, 1930, in Ohio. A resident for 10 years, she was a business manager.

She is survived by her husband, Francis "Charlie" Hamilton; two sons, Daniel C. Hamilton of Toledo, Ohio, and Mickey Hamilton of Holland, Ohio; four daughters, Lee Anne Jagodzinski of Petersburg, Mich., Diane McAtee of Dayton, Ohio, Carol O'Brien of Worthington, Ohio, and Beth Kerekes of Toledo; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Barbara A. James, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born April 1, 1933, in Detroit. A resident for five years, she was a retired dietary supervisor.

She is survived by her husband, Solomon; three daughters, Gail DeVincenzo of Warner, N.H., Debbie James of San Diego and Bobbi Bailey of Las Vegas; one son, Jerry James of Las Vegas; three sisters, Arlene Aponte of Detroit, Janet Passino of Wayne, Mich., and Nancy Bauman of Warren, Mich.; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Richard Krawczyk, 52, of Henderson died March 5 in Henderson. Born Jan. 12, 1950, in Colorado Springs, Colo., he was a sales representative and a member of American Contract Bridge League.

He is survived by two sisters, Cecily Krawczyk of Dwight, Neb., and JoAnn Bennett of Los Angeles.

He is survived by one son, Neil Howard of Las Vegas; one daughter, Elaine DiBiase of Salem, N.Y.; one brother, Stanley Liebowitz of Lakeworth, Fla.; two sisters, Rhoda Emerick of Miami Beach, Fla., and Dorothy Sobel of Phoenix; and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, James; six daughters, Lee Joyce Alex, Helen Weathers, Elenora Walker, Lola Winston, Pearlie Mae Magee and Angela Walker, and one sister, Lottie Fair, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Percy Davis of New Orleans; 19 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

Andrew Joseph Mailman, 65, of Los Angeles died March 5 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 13, 1936, in Los Angeles. A resident for 50 years, he was a truck equipment operator and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Virginia L. Fraser of Oregon; and two grandchildren.

Sam Martin, 93, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born June 18, 1908, in New York. A longtime resident, he was a clerk.

Ronald T. Matulionis, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 30, 1933, in Chicago. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired budget analyst and Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, June; two daughters, Karin Joy Gonzales of Sylmar, Calif., and Lynn Marie Davis of Las Vegas; his mother, Philomene "Marie" Matulionis of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; one son, Anthony Pantaleo of Virginia; two stepsons, Robert Bartonlanzo of Jamison, Pa., and Joseph Bartonlanzo of Wind Gap, Pa.; one stepdaughter, Ann Keys of Manchester, Md.; one brother, Matthew Pantaleo of Neptune City, N.J.; and 10 grandchildren.

Douglas Twitty, 58, of Davie, Fla., died Thursday in Aurora, Colo. He was born Nov. 12, 1943, in Chicago. A former resident of Las Vegas, he was a casino floor supervisor.

He is survived by one son, Douglas of Tampa, Fla.; two daughters, Paula Twitty of Davie and Suzanne Pedone of Tampa; one brother, James of Atlanta; one sister, Helen Wilson of Denver; and eight grandchildren.

Burial will be in Denver. Fairmount Mortuary in Denver, handled arrangements.

Lorraine White

Lorraine White, 56, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 8, 1945, in Newport Gwent, Wales. A resident for 18 years, she was a housekeeper.

She is survived by one daughter, Maureen Helm, and two sons, Eddie Meyer and Michael Meyer, and her companion, John Meyer, all of Las Vegas; her mother and stepfather, Florence and Ed Zimmerman, and one brother, William Gourley, all of Denver; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main.
