Ameristar Casinos Inc. announced Tuesday it has retained Scott Kaplan, a Wall Street banker, as a financial consultant to the company.
Kaplan will advise the company on "strategic transactions and projects, financing transactions and alternatives, internal financial analysis and investor relations," the company said.
Kaplan was previously vice president of real estate investment banking at Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown in New York. He assisted Ameristar in its buyout of two Missouri casinos from Station Casinos Inc. in 2000, as well as in $1.3 billion in financing packages put together by Ameristar over the last several years.
