Workshop to offer tips on decor
The Henderson Parks and Recreation Department will present "Feng Shui: What Are You Hanging on Your Walls?" 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Silver Springs Park, 1951 Silver Springs Parkway.
The instructor will discuss choosing and placing wall decor from a feng shui perspective, which considers how space and environment affect the people within it. Through discussion, examples and hands-on involvement, participants will learn how to determine what messages their artwork is projecting onto their lives.

Recreation center hosts basketball
The Henderson Parks and Recreation Department will host its March Madness Shootout basketball competition noon-2 p.m. Saturday at Whitney Ranch Recreation Center, 1575 Galleria Drive, for youths grades 6-8.
Participants will take aim and shoot basketballs at different areas set up on the court. Prizes and certificates will be awarded to participants and top shooters.
