John F. Carragher

John F. Carragher, 88, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 22, 1913, in Detroit. A longtime resident, he was a hotel manager and World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one sister, June Nichols of Buena Park, Calif.; and one brother, Eddie Carragher of California.

Services are private. Nevada Funeral Service, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Emmett Carter

Emmett Carter, 85, of Las Vegas, died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 1, 1916, in Wyoming, Ill. A resident for two years, he was a retired welder and World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Inez Carter of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Gayle C. Christensen

Gayle C. Christensen, 61, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 3, 1940, in Pottsville, Pa. A resident for 24 years, she was a retired waitress.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra Keller of Pottsville and Robin Bagarose of Tonopah; one son, William Reilly, and two brothers, Howard Edwards and Ronald Edwards, all of Pottsville; six sisters, Gloria Crean of Las Vegas and Joan Bosche, Phyllis Morgan, Dolores Dougherty, Mary Jane Gedinnes and Sandra Bowers, all of Pottsville; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Charles H. Coleman

Charles H. Coleman, 69, of Las Vegas died Feb. 25 in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 18, 1932, in Pennsylvania. A resident for five years, he was an Air Force veteran, a musical entertainment director and a member of Local 802.

He is survived by his wife, Oberia; three sons, Stephen, Richard and Henry; four daughters, Andrea, Gail, Annette and Chrystal; one brother, DuBois; and one sister, Marie.

Services will be private. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Jerald M. Crowl

Jerald M. Crowl, 55, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 25, 1947, in Lyons, Kan. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired heavy machine operator and Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ingrid; two daughters, Samantha Crowl of Texas and Faedra Crowl of Yucaipa, Calif.; one brother, Arlan Crowl of Henderson; and six grandchildren.

Omer A. 'Jim' Gagnon

Omer A. "Jim" Gagnon, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 12, 1920, in Fairhaven, Mass. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired Navy chief petty officer and World War II, Korean War and Vietnam veteran, and a member of the Fleet Reserve.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes; and two brothers, Leo Gagnon of North Dartmouth, Mass., and Maurice Gagnon of Fairhaven.

Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Virginia Ann Giunta

Virginia Ann Giunta, 72, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 18, 1929, in Jamestown, N.Y. A resident for 15 years, she was a teacher, hospice volunteer and Girl Scout leader.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Giunta of Boulder City and Stevan Giunta and Gerard Giunta, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Diane Giunta of Las Vegas; one brother, Robert Fredo of Jamestown; and eight grandchildren.

Private services will be handled by Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Marion M. Gray

Marion M. Gray, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 25, 1921, in New Orleans. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Marion McGriff of Las Vegas; one son, Walter Gray Jr., of Los Angeles; one sister, Althea Simon of New Orleans; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Lawrence Hallmeyer Jr., 71, of Las Vegas died March 1 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 17, 1930, in Panama Canal Zone. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Gay; one daughter, Dawn Morales of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

James Ross Hannig

James Ross Hannig, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 1, 1917, in Washington, Utah. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired tire business manager and World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; and one daughter, Marsha Hannig Pippin of Las Vegas.

Lawrence Kubis, 63, of Henderson died Feb. 22 in Las Vegas. Born Feb. 27, 1938, in New Jersey, he was a waiter.

Maria Marcolina, 77, of Henderson died Feb. 23 in Henderson. Born Aug. 20, 1924, in Boston, she was an office worker.

William McGee

William McGee, 54, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 24, 1947, in Ravenna, Ohio. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired machinist and Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; two daughters, Tandy McGee and Holly Hewitt, and one son, Alex Hewitt, all of Las Vegas; three brothers, David McGee of Wadsworth, Ohio, Donald McGee of Orange, Fla., and James McGee of Ravenna; and one grandchild.

Visitation was scheduled 3 p.m. until a 5 p.m. rosary today in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King Church. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Ronald A. Pease, 61, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 12, 1940, in Glendale, Calif. A resident for five years, he was an equipment installer and a chess player.

He is survived by two daughters, Diana Martin of Trona, Calif., and Rebecca Pease of Las Vegas; two sons, Kenneth Pease of Avondale, Ariz., and Marcus Pease of San Diego; one sister, Kay Cameron; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation was scheduled 1-3 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Bernard Philbin

Bernard Philbin, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 5, 1926, in Manchester, England. A resident for 13 years, he was a custodian and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Palma; two sons, Paul Philbin of New York and Bernard Philbin Jr., of Los Angeles; one daughter, Julie Golaszewski of Delaware; one brother, Frank Philbin, and three sisters, Winnie Burns, Kathleen Fenlon and Mary Case, all of England; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10:30 a.m. until noon services Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Daniel Anthony Ramos

Daniel Anthony Ramos, 19, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 24, 1982, in Arizona. A resident for eight years, he was a janitor.

He is survived by his parents, Mario A. and Esther Ramos; and three brothers, David A. Ramos of Phoenix and Mario A. Ramos Jr., and Dominic A. Ramos, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2 until 5 p.m. services today in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, followed by a private burial.

Genevieve 'Jenny' Rasmussen

Genevieve "Jenny" Rasmussen, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 6, 1924, in Waterloo, Iowa. A resident for 39 years, she was a retired bank teller.

She is survived by her husband, Gale; one daughter, Jill Mooney of Boulder City; one son, Jim Rasmussen of Phoenix; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be noon Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

MariaFlor L. Robina, 38, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 28, 1963, in Manila, Philippines.

He is survived by her husband, Romualdo; one daughter, Ronna Robina, one son, Ralph Robina, and her parents, Fred and Tess Lomotan, all of Las Vegas; four sisters, Beth and Bob Sarangay of Salt Lake City, Susan of the Philippines and Fe and Maryann, both of Las Vegas; and four brothers, Sonny Lomotan and Ferdinand, both of the Philippines, and Roy and Frances, both of Las Vegas.

Roy William 'Lefty' Rowan Jr.

Roy William Rowan "Lefty" Rowan Jr., 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 30, 1926, in Ohio. A resident for 10 years, he was a sporting goods salesman, World War II Navy veteran and a member of the board of Italian American Club, Pittsburgh Club and Curbstone Coaches.

He is survived by his companion, Grace Cipirano; one son, William Rowan; two daughters, Kim Decker and Terri Rowan; one brother, Robert Rowen; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Archibald Caldwell Rufty Sr.

Archibald Caldwell Rufty Sr., 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born June 27, 1914, in Salisbury, N.C. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired lawyer and World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; two sons, Archibald Rufty Jr., of Las Vegas and Bruce Rufty of Salisbury; one daughter, Frances Parkton of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Hannah Stangroome, 89, of Pahrump died Wednesday in a local care center. Born Feb. 21, 1913, in England, she was a seamstress.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Norton.

She is survived by one son, William Weigel of Las Vegas; one daughter, Cynthia Morelli of Ponte Verde Beach, Fla.; and one grandchild.

He is survived by two sons, Alan Weinger of Marina Del Rey, Calif., and Glenn Weinger of Plano, Texas; three brothers, Milton Weinger of Del Rey Beach, Fla., Norman Weinger of Boca Raton, Fla., Gerald Weinger of New York City; one sister, Selma Kisseloff of North Lauderdale, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

Bruce Kevin Williams

Bruce Kevin Williams, 48, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Oct. 29, 1953, in Altadena, Calif. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired postal employee and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by one son, Kevin M. Williams, his mother and stepfather, Jean M. and Jess Locklear, and one sister, Lisa A. Gates, all of Henderson.

Mary Thomson Young, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 1, 1937, in Scotland. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired schoolteacher and an apartment manager.

She is survived by two sons, Mark Young of Las Vegas and Russell Young; two daughters, Sharon Young and Shauna Young; and several grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one half hour prior to 10 a.m. services Monday in the LDS Pecos and Osage chapel, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Ernest Frank Zenier

Ernest Frank Zenier, 51, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. Born July 17, 1950, in Houston, he was a carpenter and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Lynne; one son, Tony Zenier; one daughter, Chelsea Zenier; two brothers, Gerald Edward Zenier and Mario Joseph Zenier, one sister, Glenda Zenier-Hattan, one stepsister, Debra Jeanna, and two stepbrothers, Hugh Wayne Campbell and Jerry Dean Campbell, all of Texas.
