The Judges Council of Nevada and Nevada Garden Clubs will present the Hello Spring Bulb and Flower Show, 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at the Desert Demonstration Garden, 3701 West Alta Drive.
The free event will offer flower arrangements and horticulture displays. Also, Aggie Roberts, horticulture instructor at for the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, will answer gardening questions at the Ask the Expert table. Call 878-2060.
UMC to host senior health expo
University Medical Center presents "Lovin' Life Senior Expo," a health education seminar 9 a.m.-3 p.m. March 15 at Whitney Ranch Recreation Center, 1575 Galleria, Henderson, to promote health and wellness.
The seminar includes a question and answer session at the conclusion of the presentation. Admission is free. Call 383-2090.
The Nevada Federation of Business
and Professional Women's Clubs-Southern District has scheduled the Young Careerist speech competition. The Young Careerist is asked to prepare a one- to four-minute speech on pre-selected topics. Deadline is March 15. Interested women ages 21-35 should call Kim Russell at 632-7682.
The "Amazing Women -- Amazing World Day 2002"
will be noon-6 p.m. Saturday at Borders Book store, 2190 N. Rainbow Blvd., a day in which women are encouraged to honor their own strength, courage and purpose. Call 385-2153.
