Former Rebel Anthony signs with Milwaukee

Veteran point guard Greg Anthony signed with the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, four days after being released by the Chicago Bulls.
"It's like hitting the lottery," Anthony said. "It's a great opportunity to contribute on a team that has a chance to get to the finals, so it's a godsend for me and I'm looking forward to it."
The former UNLV standout said there were a few other teams that expressed interest, but the Bucks were the most attractive option because they are located close to Chicago, where Anthony's family will continue to live.
Anthony will take over Rafer Alston's job as the backup behind Sam Cassell. Anthony is reunited with Bucks assistant coach Tim Grgurich, who was an aide to Jerry Tarkanian at UNLV.
The 11-year-veteran played 36 games for the Bulls, averaging 8.4 points and 5.6 assists. The Bucks are his sixth NBA team following stints with New York, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland and Chicago.
"He can give us 15 or 18 minutes, and if he plays strong we can maybe play Sam and him together,' coach George Karl said.
