A fast food restaurant worker was killed early today during an apparent botched robbery.
Metro Police said a gunman apparently tried to get into the El Pollo Loco on Charleston Boulevard near Lamb Boulevard about 2 a.m today, after the restaurant was closed, Metro Police said.
When the worker ran back into the restaurant, the gunman fired through the door and hit the worker, police said.
