Home sales steady

New home sales across Clark County in May were up only slightly from sales in the same month a year ago, Home Builders Research Inc. reported.

Home builders in the county sold 1,914 new homes in May, up from 1,885 new homes in May 2001.

Home Builders Research also said the median new home price in Clark County rose almost 13 percent year-over-year to $186,858.

Existing home closings for the first five months of the year are up 13 percent when compared to the same period last year, from 13,553 resales through May 2001 to 15,336 resales through May 2002.
