Straight-A student needs help for camp

The mother of an 11-year-old boy describes him as a good kid who gets straight A's in school and gets along well with others.
She is a single mother caring for two children and says she doesn't have a lot of time to get her son into sports programs and other activities he wants to be involved in.
"I believe my son deserves a camping experience and it would be a great benefit to him. He's earned it," she says.
She can only pay $20 of the camp costs and is seeking the Sun Camp Fund's assistance.
The mother of an 8-year-old boy says he is well-behaved and up until this year has not had much opportunity to enjoy being a kid.
For seven years she was a single mother and did not allow him to play outside in their low-income area. He helped her with his younger brother and never complained.
He now attends programs at the Boys and Girls Club, which has been a blessing, the mother says.
"My son smiles through his heart," she says. The mother can only afford to pay $10 toward the costs of camp for the boy. She is seeking the Sun Camp Fund's assistance.
