Alfred J. Anescheck

Alfred J. Anescheck, 74, of Las Vegas died June 14 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 25, 1927, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 20 years, he was an accountant and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalie; five daughters, Michele, Patti, Donna and Angel, all of Pennsylvania, and Dollie of Henderson; one brother, John of Ohio; one sister, Marie of Pennsylvania; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mass was scheduled at 1:30 p.m. today in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Georgiana 'Gigi' Arizmendi

Georgiana "Gigi" Arizmendi, 62, of Las Vegas died June 16 in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 1, 1940, in St. Stephen, S.C. A resident for 21 years, she was a retired clerk.

She is survived by two daughters, Beckie Reeves and Debbie Arizmendi, and two sons, William Arizmendi and Patrick Arizmendi, all of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Julia V. Biniek

Julia V. Biniek, 89, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 9, 1913, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired shoe factory inspector.

She is survived by three daughters, Marie Hudak of Las Vegas, Julianna Albowicz of Clear Spring, Md., and Margaret Belcastro of Reading, Pa.; two daughters, Joseph Biniek of Pasadena, Md., and Paul Biniek of Mount Holly Springs, Pa.; one brother, Constantine Kosloski of Glen Burnie, Md.; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.

Joseph James Capasso

Joseph James Capasso, 62, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 4, 1940, in St. Louis. A resident for 2 1/2 months, he was an electrical engineer in the power industry for 40 years and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Delia; two daughters, Susan Capasso and Maria Santos, both of California; his mother, Evelyn Capasso, and one sister, Josephine Brigham, both of Nevada; one brother, Stephen Capasso of California; and one grandchild.

Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.

James Leon Crawford

James Leon Crawford, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 8, 1926, in Arkansas. A resident for 19 years, he was a regional manager with UPS for 20 years and worked for them a total of 33 years and was a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Vanessa Lucas of Higley, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 9:20 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., handled arrangements.

Frank Hilton Floyd

Frank Hilton Floyd, 28, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 12, 1973, in New York. A resident for 3 1/2 years, he was a plumber.

He is survived by his wife, Christine; two sons, Joshua Ethan Floyd and Jacob Aaron Floyd, both of Las Vegas; his parents, Thomas Floyd and Elizabeth DiPaola, one brother, Thomas Floyd, and two sisters, Jamie Floyd and Kellie Floyd, all of Florida.

A private memorial service will be in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive.

Franklin Delanor Foley

Franklin Delanor Foley, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 7, 1936, in McCook, Neb. A resident for 40 years, he was a mechanic at the Nevada Test Site and a member of Operating Engineers Local 12.

He is survived by two daughters, Tami Norris of Las Vegas and Teri Foley of California; and six grandchildren.

Phillip Allen Hall Jr.

Phillip Allen Hall Jr., 45, of Henderson died Saturday. A county government maintenance worker, he was born May 12, 1957, in Renton, Wash.

He is survived by his wife, Debra; two sons, Phillip Allen Hall III of Henderson and Jamal Hall of Houston; two daughters, Shunica Sefo of Las Vegas and Jamila Hall, his parents, Kenneth and Lavelle Swanigan, two brothers, Turhan Hall and Mark Swanigan, and one sister, Melanie Swanigan, all of Renton; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until an 11 a.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Sharon E. Homan

Sharon E. Homan, 28, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 11, 1974, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a medical technician.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; one son, Devin Homan, and her mother, Jean Nelson, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Christian Nelson, and her grandmother, Mabel Nelson, both of Des Moines, Iowa.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Marc Marden

Marc Marden, 85, of Las Vegas died May 11 in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 31, 1916, in New York. A resident for many years, he was a hotel chef.

He is survived by a son, Dennis Marden of San Luis Rey, Calif.; and a daughter, Dennise Marden of Duarte, Calif.; and several other children.

Bruce Neil Mitchell

Bruce Neil Mitchell, 67, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 5, 1935, in Cleveland. A resident for 33 years, he was a butcher.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; one son, Michael Lee Mitchell of Las Vegas; two daughters, Vicki Lee Shelton of Bloomington, Utah, and Susan Marie Mitchell of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 9 a.m. Saturday in the LDS Eighth Ward at Pennwood Avenue and Arville Street. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Teresa Nilson

Teresa Nilson, 77, of Pahrump died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 15, 1925, in Oregon. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Greg Nilson of Pahrump, Tom Nilson of Las Vegas and Rick Nilson of Ely; one daughter, Cathy Knueton of Las Vegas; one sister, Hatti Acres of Washington state; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Burial will follow in Chief Tecopa Cemetery, Pahrump.

Robert Harvey Reed

Robert Harvey Reed, 87, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 8, 1914, in Cleveland. A resident for 68 years, he was a miner, air-conditioning service employee and was a Cub Scouts master.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Stella; two daughters, Bobbie Sue Poole and JoAnn Chapman, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Jim Weaver of Oak Harbor, Wash.; four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Sunday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 5 p.m. Monday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

Velma Ree Scott

Velma Ree Scott, 62, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in North Las Vegas. She was born July 21, 1939, in Mississippi. A resident for 42 years, she was a housekeeping inspector.

She is survived by one son, Billy M. Scott of North Las Vegas; two sisters, Minnie Washington of Las Vegas and Bessie Ruth White of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Edna Slenker

Edna Slenker, 87, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A resident for 27 years, she was born July 28, 1914, in Astoria, N.Y.

She is survived by one daughter, Lynn D. Boudreau; two sisters, Anna Frey of Las Vegas and Doris Rector of Sweet Home, Ore.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
