UNLV players put on All-West team

Two UNLV baseball players, David Trujillo and Joe Wickman, have been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association All-West Region Teams as voted on by western collegiate head coaches.
Trujillo, a senior designated hitter from Albuquerque, was named to the first team All-West Region Team. He hit .345 (79-for-242) with a team-high 18 home runs. He was named the Mountain West Conference All-Tournament DH and conference player of the week on April 29.
Wickman, a freshman left fielder from Las Vegas, was named to the second team. He led the Mountain West Conference with a .437 (62-for-142) average, put together an 18-game hitting streak and notched the conference's best on-base percentage at .584. He was named MWC Freshman of the Year and earned a spot on the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America Team.
