Fishing is entering the summer doldrums with arrival of triple digit temperatures.
Anglers braving the heat are starting early and are off the lake by 10 a.m.
Large schools of shad have been reported congregating offshore of Boulder Beach. Anglers using live shad or cut bait are finding success for small striper up to five pounds.
Large flotillas of boats are also congregating around the shad, so caution is advised.
