Myrtle Christensen Anderson

Myrtle Christensen Anderson, 80, of Pahrump died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 18, 1921, in Mount Pleasant, Utah. A resident of Las Vegas from 1951-1974 and most recently a Pahrump resident for 28 years, she was a telephone company operator.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Warren Anderson and Dennis Anderson, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Lyn Anderson of Pahrump; one sister, Sarah Lavon Gull of Helper, Utah; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Saturday in the Pahrump LDS Chapel. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Doris Black

Doris Black, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 13, 1914, in Colorado. A resident for 12 years, she was a cashier.

She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Legris of Las Vegas; one sister, Sarah Warren of Texas; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Jim Campbell

Jim Campbell, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 12, 1938, in Baltimore. A resident for 34 years, he was a retired Clark County health sanitarian, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Las Vegas Ceramic Society and Nevada Clay Guild.

He is survived by his wife, Mary E.; and his mother, Lucille Campbell of Whiting, Ind.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today and 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Eleanor May Desautel

Eleanor May Desautel, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born March 23, 1919, in Providence, R.I. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Humane Society and American Association of Retired Persons.

She is survived by two sons, Richard and David; one daughter, Susan Kutner; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Thursday in First Henderson United Methodist Church, 609 E. Horizon Drive, Henderson. Burial will be in Seattle. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Randall D. Devore

Randall D. Devore, 47, of Sandy Valley died Friday in Sandy Valley. He was born July 2, 1954, in Illinois. A resident for one year, he was a truck driver and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; one son, Donnie R. Devore of Las Vegas; and one brother, Dennis Devore of Illinois.

Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. until a 4:15 p.m. service Thursday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Burial will be private.

Loretta K. Fuller

Loretta K. Fuller, 96, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 11, 1906, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three grandsons, Gary Fuller of Reno, Randy Fuller of Las Vegas and Doug Fuller of Alexandria, Va.; one granddaughter, Sandy Klatt of Las Vegas; and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Robert 'Bobby G.' Gillespie

Robert "Bobby G." Gillespie, 67, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 15, 1935, in Dowington, Pa. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired police officer and a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Laura; two daughters, Katherine Gillespie of Glendale, Ariz., and Teresa Zupkofska of Las Vegas; one son, Robert Gillespie II of Poplarville, Miss.; his mother, Elizabeth Gillespie, and one sister, Sally Richards, both of Keene, N.H.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.

Joseph W. Green

Joseph W. Green, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 19, 1931, in Shreveport, La. A resident for one year, he was a Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran who served for 20 years.

He is survived by two sons, Joseph W. Green III and Gerald Green, both of Oxnard, Calif.; two daughters, Anita Green of Palmdale, Calif., and Patrice Green of Las Vegas; four sisters, Josephine Kelly of Hayward, Calif., and Laura Baxter, Della Mosley and Dorothy Oakley, all of Berkeley, Calif.; two brothers, Rudy Green and Abraham Green, both of Berkeley; and four grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Services and burial will be in California. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Thelma Burns Hall

Thelma Burns Hall, 67, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born May 22, 1933, in Oklahoma. A resident for 39 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley; two daughters, Vickie Munoz and Kristy Jones; one brother, Kenneth Burns; two sisters, Betty Watts and Bobby Winborne; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. until a 5 p.m. chapel service today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Hegarty

M.C.P. "Mike" Hegarty, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 26, 1916, in Omaha, Neb. A resident for seven years, he was a wire chief and district manager at Northwestern Bell in North Dakota, a member of the Elks Club and a 50-year member and past grand exalted ruler of Telephone Pioneers.

He is survived by one daughter, Patricia A. Lindsey of Las Vegas; one son, Michael J. Hegarty of Collierville, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Edward Verdell Johnson

Edward Verdell Johnson, 72, of Redlands, Calif., died June 12 in a local hospital. He was born April 11, 1930, in Wilmington, Calif. A resident for three months, he was a retired Air Force chief master sergeant and Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl; four daughters, Rebecca Deavoures of Fort Collins, Calif., Marcell Furrow and Shirley Johnson, both of Las Vegas and Sheila Thomas of Redlands; one foster daughter, Raven Dewart of Redlands; two sisters, Paulette Keating of Ontario, Calif., and Marilyn Cerf of Bloomington, Calif.; one brother, Gerald Johnson of Hemet, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Desert Hills Baptist Church, 4401 S. Nellis Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Claudia Jean LaFrano, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 16, 1934, in North Dakota. A resident for two years, she owned and operated an advertising business and was a member of Senior Center of Henderson.

She is survived by one sister, Virginia Allison.

Armondo Leonardo

Armondo Leonardo, 90, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 26, 1912, in Orange, N.J. A resident for five years, he was a retired purification agent for an oil company and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, Armond of Louisiana; two daughters, Josephine Leonardo and Helen Lupo, both of Las Vegas; six sisters, Caroline DeVito, Josephine Leonardo, Yolanda Adelizo and Jennie Greico, all of New Jersey, Angie DeToure of Florida and Mary Hoopper of San Francisco; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Richard MacDonald

Richard MacDonald, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 9, 1924, in Massachusetts. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Josette; one son, Bernard Cottin; two daughters, Corinne Pooler and Marsha MacDonald; one brother, Toby MacDonald; and two grandchildren.

Maxine L. McNeal

Maxine L. McNeal, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 20, 1917, in Clear Lake, Wash. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired bookkeeper for a propane company.

She is survived by her husband, Walter F.; one son, Richard P. Canan of Las Vegas; one brother, Edwin Coff of San Lorenzo, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Carol Nishnic, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 18, 1935, in Colorado. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald.

Sam Aun Ouk, 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 5, 1934, in Cambodia. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired bakery shop owner-operator.

He is survived by his wife, Vay Kim; one daughter, Linda Forman of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Morayma Hernandez Owens, 64, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born May 30, 1938, in Mexico. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired government secretary.

She is survived by three sons, Oscar L. Hernandez and Raul Hernandez, both of Las Vegas and Juan C. Hernandez of Houston; three sisters, Socorro Hernandez, Virginia Hernandez and Graciela Hernandez, all of Mexico; three brothers, Roque Hernandez of Las Vegas and Marcial Hernandez and Ignacio Hernandez, both of Mexico; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Main.

Beatrice Imogene Rider

Beatrice Imogene Rider, 67, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born July 16, 1934, in El Cajon, Calif. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired night auditor for a local hotel.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Runnells; her mother, Lillian Johnston; two brothers, J.L. Hisel and Huey Hisel; three sisters, Lucy Munson, Joan Wallace and Carolyn Stephens; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mauricio Antonio Romero, 45, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 24, 1956, in El Salvador. A resident for three years, he was a laborer at Sanders Construction Inc.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha Torres, one daughter, Maira E. Romero, one son, Elmer J. Romero, and his father, Ysidro Antonio Arteaga, all of El Salvador; four brothers, Wilfredo Romero and Jose Dimas Arteaga, both of Las Vegas and Jose Romero and Ernesto Romero, both of California; and two sisters, Stella Romero of California and Marisol Blanca of Las Vegas.

Joseph Setting Jr., 74, of Las Vegas died May 1 in Las Vegas. A World War II Navy veteran, he was born Nov. 27, 1927, in Monaca, Pa.

Phyllis Marie Shaler

Phyllis Marie Shaler, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 24, 1930, in Dekalb, Ill. A resident for 20 years, she was a glass company owner.

She is survived by one sister, Charlene Gauger of Las Vegas; one stepson, Bill Shaler of Flagstaff, Ariz.; one stepdaughter, Janet Wilcott of Texas; and four grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, James M.; three daughters, Cynthia A. McKinley, Sonia R. Powell and Celeste M. Leitgeb; one son, Philip P. Williams; two sisters, Johanna C. Meleason and Mary P. Prazenica; two brothers, Thomas R. Dinga and Francis J. Dinga; and eight grandchildren.
