Phillip Peter Attuso

Phillip Peter Attuso, 86, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born Dec. 12, 1915, in Baton Rouge, La. A resident for three years, he was a retired plumber and pipefitter.

He is survived by three daughters, Ramona Kennedy, Theresa Acosta and Phyllis Molea, and one son, Rocky Attuso, all of Baton Rouge; two stepdaughters, Linda Thompson of Henderson and Gail Thompson of Las Vegas; three stepsons, Steve Thompson and Greg Thompson, both of Henderson and Jeff Thompson of Biloxi, Miss.; three sisters, Mary Gentile of Port Allen, La., and Lucille Burkett and Juanita Tridico, both of Baton Rouge; 28 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Afton Effie Bohannon

Afton Effie Bohannon, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 9, 1919, in Coyote-Antimony, Utah. A resident for 50 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Rick A. Mortensen of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 3 p.m. service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Mary Cole

Mary Cole, 95, of Pahrump died Thursday in Pahrump. She was born Aug. 28, 1906, in Tennessee. A resident for eight years, she was a hospital nurse.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Gayle Moll, one great-granddaughter, Beatrice Martirosian, and one great-grandson, Kelly Dunmore, all of Pahrump; and two great-great-granddaughters, Jessica Wharton of Arizona and Justyce Martirosian of Pahrump.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Second Baptist Church of Pahrump, 1591 Bridger St. Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road, is handling arrangements.

James F. Conn

James F. Conn, 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 11, 1934, in Greenville, Mich. A resident for six years, he was a retired construction company owner-operator.

He is survived by one daughter, Deborah Conn of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; four sons, Gregg Conn and Beecher Conn, both of Seattle, Donald Conn of Lake Elsinore, Calif., and Kelly Conn of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service was 3 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Eric Carl Davis

Eric Carl Davis, 31, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 10, 1971, in San Bernardino, Calif. A resident for six years, he was a lock maker for a casino supplier, an Army veteran, a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and the Las Vegas Gay and Lesbian Chorus.

He is survived by his mother, Patty Lamb of Oceanside, Calif.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Heather Dimbreg

Heather Dimbreg, 32, of Henderson died Thursday in Henderson. She was born April 26, 1970, in Illinois. A resident for three years, she was a receptionist.

She is survived by her mother, Zona Tomasek of Wisconsin.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Milwaukee. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Zona Doughty

Zona Doughty, 86, of Pahrump died Saturday in Pahrump. She was born Nov. 18, 1915, in Colorado. A resident for 12 years, she was a self-employed artist.

She is survived by one daughter, Nelda Goode of Pahrump; two stepdaughters, Carol Cline of Bakersfield, Calif., and Sharon May of Henderson; her loyal friend, Fred Moerke of Pahrump; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Frank Hilton Floyd

Frank Hilton Floyd, 38, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 12, 1973, in New York. A resident for 3 1/2 years, he was a plumber.

He is survived by his wife, Christine; two sons, Joshua Ethan Floyd and Jacob Aaron Floyd, all of Henderson; his parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Floyd; one brother, Thomas Floyd of Henderson; and two sisters, Jamie Floyd and Kellie Floyd, both of Florida.

A private memorial service will be in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive.

Edward Folds

Claude Edward Folds, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 12, 1933, in Missouri. A resident for 69 years, he was a limousine chauffeur and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Mitchell Lynn Folds of Las Vegas and David Folds of San Diego; and one brother, Robert Folds of Las Vegas.

Zella Edith Geer

Zella Edith Geer, 95, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 6, 1906, in Pasadena, Calif. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.

Visitation is scheduled 9-10 a.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Florence Hart

Florence Hart, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 20, 1913, in Jewell, Iowa. A resident for 22 years, she was a clerk in the transportation field.

She is survived by one son, Ed Hart of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Whittier, Calif. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Pearl E. Hornback

Pearl E. Hornback, 98, of Pahrump died Saturday in Pahrump. She was born July 17, 1903, in Missouri. A resident for 16 years, she was a seamstress at a garment factory.

She is survived by one son, Dave Hornback of Pahrump; one daughter, Karen Goldsmith of Henderson; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Florence Kothera

Florence Kothera, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born July 4, 1931, in Cleveland. A resident for 18 years, she was a manager for a nonprofit organization and a member of the Triangle Club.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; two daughters, Susan Kothera and Jennifer Hetterscheidt, both of Las Vegas; one son, Michael Kothera of California; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Angela C. Krause

Angela C. Krause, 53, of Las Vegas died Aug. 17, 1948, in Philadelphia. A resident for eight years, she was a payroll/human resources employee for six years at the Carpet Barn, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1296 in Bloomington, Minn.

She is survived by two sons, Eric Krause of San Diego and Joseph Krause of Minneapolis; one brother, J.J. "Jim" Sims of Bloomington, Minn.; and stepparents, Jim and Louise Sims of Palm Bay, Fla.; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Brent Lee, 29, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 15, 1972, in Missouri. A resident for eight years, he was a cosmetologist.

He is survived by his father, Robert Lee, and his mother, Rosezetta Greenlee, both of Missouri.

Pauline A. Merrill

Pauline A. Merrill, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born March 11, 1931, in Shidler, Okla. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired retail manager, a Korean War Air Force veteran, a member of the Nevada State Troupers, Peggy Ryan's Dance Troupe and Senior Companions.

She is survived by one daughter, Allison Proffitt, and two sons, Bruce Merrill and Brad Merrill, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Venie Yonkouski of Las Vegas and Phyllis Boland of Peoria, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today and one hour prior to a 1 p.m. service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will follow at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Sam S. Migaki, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 10, 1931, in Sublett, Wyo. A resident for seven years, he was a retired electrical engineer and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons, Chris and Paul, and one daughter, Penny Figueroa, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Yoshi Migaki of San Jose, Calif.; one sister, Grace Kijita of Evanston, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Lionel Joseph Miles

Lionel Joseph Miles, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born June 15, 1921, in Hipping, Minn. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired optician and a member of Bet Knesset Bamidbar of Sun City.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Gail Kimball and Sheila Gibson, both of Las Vegas; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Clarence H. Murray, 69, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born Oct. 6, 1932, in St. Louis. A resident for 12 years, he was a framer in the construction industry and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; eight sons, James Murray and Clarence Murray II, both of Henderson, Gary Murray of California, Danny Murray of Ohio, Randy Murray of Utah, Rusty Murray of Alabama and David Murray and Shawn Murray, both of Tucson; 28 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Garry David Nitz

Garry David Nitz, 65, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 1, 1936, in Canada. A resident for 30 years, he was a watch repairman and a member of the Odd Fellows.

He is survived by his wife, Myrna L.; two sons, Ruben Johnston of Omaha, Neb., and Guy Nitz of Las Vegas; one daughter, Shirley McKay of Lethbridge, Alberta; one sister, Betty Oliver of Canada; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a noon service Tuesday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Kevin O'Mahony

Kevin O'Mahony, 69, of Las Vegas died June 6 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 18, 1932, in Cork, Ireland. A resident for seven years, he was a travel agent and a veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; one daughter, Maureen Morgan of Reno; two sons, Sean O'Mahony of Lakeside, Calif., and Brendan O'Mahony of Buena Park, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Linda Resnik, 30, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born June 5, 1972, in Los Angeles. A resident for 12 years, she was a pharmacy salesman.

She is survived by two daughters, Samantha Resnik and Margo Resnik, and her parents, Jeanette and Robert Resnik, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Alan Resnik of Las Vegas and Jeff Resnik of Berkeley, Calif.; and her grandparents, Fortuna Lahana of Los Angeles and Hershel Resnik of Camarillo, Calif.

Services were 2 p.m. today in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Joseph F. Rinaldi

Joseph F. Rinaldi, 60, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 20, 1941, in Ottawa, Ill. A resident for five years, he was a retired music teacher, a Navy veteran and a member of the Musicians Union Organization.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; one daughter, Lisa Ann Cataldo of Temecula, Calif.; two stepsons, Michael Tatham of San Diego and Mark Tatham of Denver; one sister, Patricia Balconi of Oglesby, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

Ray Tucker, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local convalescent hospital. He was born Nov. 22, 1920, in Seattle. A resident for six years, he was a retired sprinkler fitter in the construction industry and a World War II Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemay; one daughter, Robin Lundin of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Robert Huntley Valentine, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 2, 1914, in Texas. A resident for eight years, he was a retired real estate broker.

He is survived by two sons, Phillip Valentine of Oregon and Ronald Valetine of California; one daughter, Frances Monterone of California; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Jack Weiner

Jack Weiner, 72, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 7, 1930, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired hotel executive housekeeper and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Holly Randall and Wendy Vega, both of Henderson; one son, Robert Weiner of Great Neck, N.Y.; two sisters, Fran Weiner of Las Vegas and Rae Blier of Georgia; one brother, Sol Weiner of New Jersey; and eight grandchildren.

He is survived by four daughters, Bobbie Florio and Debra Balero, both of Las Vegas, Patricia Bishop of San Jose, Calif., and Charlotte Maynard of Prince Edward Island, Canada; one son, Bob Luellen of Portland, Mich.; his mother, Marie Smith of Mason, Mich.; one brother, Kenneth White of Las Vegas; and nine grandchildren.

Juanita M. Witz

Juanita M. Witz, 90, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 11, 1911, in Paris, Ill. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Sam; three daughters, Pat Eckert of Texas and Sherry Witz and Barbara Ann Zissman, both of Illinois; two sons, Richard Witz and Barry Witz, both of Illinois; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Ruby L. Wright-Parks, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 3, 1931, in Jonesville, La. A resident for 31 years, she was a hotel maid, a member of the Eastern Star and a deaconess at Mount Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Wright of North Las Vegas; one brother, Glosper Bowman of Jonesville, La.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-8 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in New Bethel Baptist Church, 400 W. Adams Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Shirley A. Zoppi-Drzyzga

Shirley A. Zoppi-Drzyzga, 51, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born April 27, 1951, in Stamford, Conn. A resident for 25 years, she was a casino shop steward.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; one daughter, Alexandria Drzyzga, and one son, Christopher Drzyzga, both of Las Vegas; and five sisters, Linda Kaye, Marie Uva, Paula Fox, Diane Johnson and Angela Zoppi, all of Stamford.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
