UNLV-Oregon State game will air on TBS

UNLV football will make its first appearance on the national cable channel Superstation TBS in nearly two decades when it travels to face Oregon State on Sept. 14.
The game will start at 4 p.m. PDT, which is a half-hour later than previously announced by OSU.
The meeting, which will take place at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, is one of five involving Pac-10 Conference teams this upcoming season to be broadcast by TBS. The Rebels' first road game of the season will mark the program's third-ever appearance on the cable outlet: BYU downed UNLV 27-0 at Sam Boyd Stadium on Sept. 2, 1982, but a year later the Rebels defeated San Diego State 28-10 on Oct. 27, 1983, also at home.
UNLV has now had two games selected for national television this fall as ESPN2 will show the season opener against Wisconsin on Aug. 31 beginning at 5:45 p.m. PDT live from Sam Boyd Stadium. The Rebels, who had all of their games shown on television for the first time in 2001, will make at least their 16th network appearance since John Robinson took over in 1999 after having been on only 10 times previously.
