Letter: Mojave Desert measure comes at a great time

The designation of 444,000 acres in Clark County as federal wilderness will help ease the pressures put on our public lands by the exploding population of Las Vegas. With so much wilderness so close to the fastest-growing city in the country, this legislation couldn't have come at a better time.
