Golf event to aid 'Silk Butterflies'
Nathan Adelson Hospice will host a day of golf at 8 a.m. Wednesday at Stallion Mountain Country Club, 5500 E. Flamingo Road, to benefit the new Nathan Adelson Hospice community program, "Silk Butterflies," which provides care to terminally ill children of all ages and their families.
Entry deadline is Wednesday. For tickets or further information, call 796-3112.
Diamonds Fiesta set at Sunset Station
The American Cancer Society's Denim or Diamonds Fiesta, an evening where all cultures and ethnic origins come together and celebrate as one community, will be 6 p.m. Saturday at the Sunset Station. Tickets are $150. All proceeds raised will assist the American Cancer Society with cancer research, education advocacy and patient services. She-Bop to play poolside concert
The Henderson Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a performance by the band She-Bop at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Whitney Ranch Activity Pool, 1575 Galleria Drive. Admission is $8 for adults; $5 for youth and seniors. The poolside performance is part of the department's Poolside Rhythms concert series, which blends entertaining cultural performances with the city's state-of-the-art aquatic facilities.
