Cher makes return to MGM Grand

Pop-music and pop-culture legend Cher performs Aug. 9 and 10 at MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Tickets -- $39.75, $75.25 and $150.25 -- go on sale Saturday at the arena box office, and can also be purchased at Las Vegas Tickermaster locations. Wristband distribution begins at 10 p.m. today, concluding at 9 a.m. Saturday. A random number will then be drawn at 9:30 a.m. to determine placement in line. A wristband does not guarantee that a ticket can be purchased and there is a limit of eight tickets per person.

In 1998 Cher had a hit with "Believe" and in May performed at MGM Grand Garden Arena as part of VH1's "Divas Las Vegas" lineup, with Celine Dion, Mary J. Blige, Dixie Chicks, Stevie Nicks and Whitney Houston, among others.

Cher's recently released CD, "Living Proof," spawned a top-5 dance track, "A Song for the Lonely." Cher announced the album's subsequent tour to be her last. The tour concludes Sept. 15 in Minneapolis.
