Program planned on tortoises
Southern Nevada residents thinking about adopting a desert tortoise can find out how to make tortoises healthier and happier during a free slide presentation June 18 by Betty Burge of the Tortoise Group.
Burge can help teach how to dig a burrow, how to feed tortoises and how to keep tortoises from escaping. The presentation is set for 1 p.m. on June 18 at the Nevada State Museum in Lorenzi Park on West Washington Avenue.
