Salvador Estrada
Salvador Estrada, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. He was born March 27, 1921, in Los Angeles. A resident for one year, he was a retired quality control engineer in the aerospace industry and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; three sons, Michael Estrada and James Estrada, both of Las Vegas, and Allyn Estrada of Nashua, N.H.; one daughter, Rose Estrada of Palmdale, Calif.; one sister, Frances Estrada of Glendale, Calif.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Alzheimer's Association, 919 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60611.
Betty Lou Jones Ewing
Betty Lou Jones Ewing, 71, of Moapa died Friday in a local care center. She was born March 5, 1931, in Priest River, Idaho. A Nevada resident for 63 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, James Sr.; one son, James Ewing Jr., and one stepson, Les Ewing, both of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Robert L. Faulkner
Robert L. Faulkner, 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. He was born May 5, 1934, in Shelbyville, Ill. A resident for three years, he was a retired collection agent and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet; one daughter, Shelley Frey of Mount Prospect, Ill.; two sons, Michael Faulkner of Niles, Ill., and Victor Faulkner of Farmington, N.M.; two sisters, Joann Hunter of Nigel, Calif., and Louise Bell of Springfield, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Dorothy Alice Hulse
Dorothy Alice Hulse, 80, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 27, 1921, in Berthold, N.D. A resident for 38 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by five daughters, Sharon Hardy of Grantsville, Utah, Connie Rowe and Penny Batchelder, both of Las Vegas, Dana Carol Willow of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Shea Shirley Richland of Prescott, Ariz.; 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a noon service Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the Las Vegas Parkinson Support Group, 8504 Hearst Court, Las Vegas, NV 89117.
James K. Kramer
James K. Kramer, 57, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 30, 1945, in Huntington, Ind. A resident for 26 years, he was a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad, an Air Force veteran and a member of United Transportation Union 1117.
He is survived by his companion, Marva Herndon, and one daughter, Jennifer Kramer, both of Las Vegas; and one sister, Nancy Martin of Huntington.
Visitation was scheduled one hour prior to a 3 p.m. memorial service today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Larry Mohler
Larry Mohler, 47, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. A paramedic, he was born Dec. 29, 1954, in Baltimore.
He is survived by one sister, Lori Cramer of Tallahassee, Fla.
Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Bryan K. Pitchford
Bryan K. Pitchford, 41, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 29, 1960, in Los Angeles. A resident for six months, he was disabled.
He is survived by his mother, Estelle; one sister, Ebony Pitchford of Los Angeles; and six brothers, Tyrone Pitchford and Melvin Pitchford, both of Salt Lake City, Robbie Pitchford of Atlanta and Graig "Stevie" Pitchford, Jared Pitchford and Robert Pitchford Jr., all of Los Angeles.
Visitation is scheduled 2-5 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Charlaine Virginia Purcell
Charlaine Virginia Purcell, 64, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born June 3, 1937, in Los Angeles. A resident for 37 years, she was an employee at Medical Mart and a member of Senior Friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet Gray of Henderson and Sharon Kolch of Utah; one son, Robert Purcell of Mississippi; and five grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 9:30 a.m. today in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial was private. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Phillip Wilensky
Phillip Wilensky, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 22, 1925, in Fargo, N.D. A resident for 49 years, he was a retired owner of a plumbing and electrical business.
He is survived by his wife, Norma; one daughter, Terri Wilensky-Genzer of Las Vegas; and one brother, Norman Wilensky of Minneapolis.
Visitation is scheduled 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Temple Beth Sholom, 10700 Havenwood Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89135, or the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
