Ray Wilson Bennett
Ray Wilson Bennett, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 6, 1927, in Portland, Ore. A resident for five years, he was a retired driver for a vending company, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of American Legion Post 76 and a courier for the law firm of Kolesar & Leatham Chtd.
He is survived by his wife, LaVonne M.; one son, Stephen Bennett of Mudelien, Ill.; one daughter, Sherry Farris of Forest Grove, Ore.; four stepsons, Douglas Bennett of Camas, Wash., Michael Skelton of Keizer, Ore., Craig Skelton of Cascade, Mont., and Matthew Gallagher of Hebo, Ore.; four stepdaughters, Linda Bennett of Surprise, Ariz., Cheryl King of Las Vegas, Christine Mulligan of Nottingham, N.H., and Ann Scoles of Maple Plain, Mont.; 20 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.
The family suggests donations to Navy Wives and Orphans Fund.
Donald A. Betti
Donald A. Betti, 32, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born April 6, 1970, in Cleveland. A resident for several years, he was a waiter at Sam's Town.
He is survived by his parents, Adeline and Anthony Betti, one brother, Anthony Betti, and two sisters, Lisa Moreno and Debra Roberts, all of Las Vegas.
Services will be 6 p.m. Thursday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Frances S. Brooks
Frances S. Brooks, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 23, 1920, in Toledo, Ohio. A resident for 28 years, she was a retired registered nurse.
She is survived by two daughters, Jeanie Cook and Pattie Davis, both of Las Vegas; one son, John Wathen of Billings, Mont.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Ronald Dean Brown Sr.
Ronald Dean Brown Sr., 77, of Henderson died June 17 in Henderson. He was born April 8, 1925, in Ogden, Utah. A resident for three years, he was a master electrician, a World War II Navy veteran and a retired member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 291 in Boise, Idaho.
He is survived by three sons, Ronald D. Brown Jr. and David R. Brown, both of Henderson, and Geary of Seattle; two daughters, Stacey Lynne DeLand of Clinton, Utah, and Cindee of Seattle; two sisters, Dion Urry of Tempe, Ariz., and Chrystal Brown of Sacramento; four brothers, Duane Stewart Brown of Chandler, Ariz., Norman R. Brown of Muskogee, Okla., Nolen G. Brown of Logan, Utah, and Gerald D. Brown of Henderson; and 15 grandchildren.
Services will be 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Sadie L. Buffett
Sadie L. Buffett, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 12, 1918, in Melville, La. A resident for 26 years, she was a clerk for the Postal Service.
She is survived by three daughters, Clemieteen Jordan of Inglewood, Calif., Hazel A. Dial of Los Angeles and Marcia Lawrence of Las Vegas; one son, Henry Wayne Buffett of Gardena, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services and burial will be Saturday in California.

Jennifer J. Curd died Saturday, her date of birth, in a local hospital.
She is survived by her mother, Amy Winger, and her father, Sean Curd, both of Las Vegas.

David Arthur Daniell
David Arthur Daniell, 64, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 29, 1938, in Jacksonville, Fla. A resident for 29 years, he was a casino floorman and a Coast Guard veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; four sons, Steven, Micheal and Donald, all of Las Vegas, and Joseph of Florida; two daughters, Tonja and Tina, both of Las Vegas; five brothers, Robert, Charles, Herbert, Claude, and Phillip, and two sisters, Norann and Robbie, all of Florida; 25 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.
Oliver C. Edwards
Oliver C. Edwards, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday at a local hospital. He was born Sept. 22, 1932, in Los Angeles. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired electronics engineer and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; one son, Don of Tucson; one daughter, Linda, of Palmdale, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be 8:30-9 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside service will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd.
David Flores Jr.
David Flores Jr., 22, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 7, 1979, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a chef.
He is survived by his mother, Alana Carter, his father, David Flores Sr., two brothers, Angelo and Drew, his grandmother, Lila Carter, and his grandfather, the Rev. Hector Flores Sr., all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by an all-night vigil at the Paiute Reservation. Burial will be in the Paiute cemetery.
Mildred Gundy
Mildred Gundy, 89, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born May 7, 1913, in Cambridge, Neb. A resident for 57 years, she was a retired drugstore clerk.
She is survived by one daughter, Joan Gundy Vaughn of Las Vegas; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will be private.
Madelyn Heathcote
Madelyn Heathcote, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born June 24, 1926, in Sequatchie, Tenn. A resident for 39 years, she was a hotel food server.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Heathcote; two daughters, Lillian Turnbaugh of Las Vegas and Patricia Ashley of Long Beach, Calif.; three sons, Kenneth Pyburn, Dewitt Weaver and Micheal Graham, all of Las Vegas; one sister, JoAnn Galloway of Vancouver, Wash.; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-9 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services. Burial will be private.
Melanie Hooper
Melanie Hooper, 53, of Henderson died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 2, 1948, in Texas. A resident for 14 years, she was a slot foreman.
She is survived by one brother, Thomas Rolof of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Rebecca Brackin of Texas and Susan Watkins of Oregon.
Services will be 6:30 p.m. today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.
Chris Allison Huston
Chris Allison Huston, 39, of Henderson died Friday in Needles, Calif. He was born Aug. 6, 1962, in Denver. A resident for 24 years, he was a gardener for the city of Henderson.
He is survived by his parents, Bob. R. and Patricia Huston of Panaca; one sister, Bobbi A. Rowlett of Norfolk, Neb.; and two brothers, Shane Huston of Las Vegas and Monte Huston of San Jose, Calif.

Eldon N. Kepler, 57, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 5, 1945, in Tacoma, Wash. A resident for one year, he was a salesman for Fairfield Communities Time Share Sales Division and a Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his companion, Helen Kepler, one son, Gerald R. Kepler, and one daughter, Christine Kepler, all of Hollister, Mo.; his father, Gerald R. Kepler, and his mother, Bernice Kepler, both of Washington state; two brothers, Dan Kepler of Tulum, Mexico, and Jerry Kepler of Washington state; and two sisters, Mary Jennings of Tigard, Ore., and Bonnie Staley of Bend, Ore.

Joseph Neubauer, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 2, 1916, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 20 years, he was a World War II Army veteran and past president of the Philadelphia chapter of Knights of Pythias.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl; one brother, Daniel of Philadelphia; and one sister, Lillian Weisfeld, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Graveside services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Freda M. Ploutz
Freda M. Ploutz, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 23, 1933, in Stroud, Okla. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired court clerk.
She is survived by her husband, Wenslow; two sons, Stanley Wade Ploutz of Ellinwood, Kan., and Steven Lee Ploutz of Las Vegas; two daughters, Cynthia Gail Wilder and Michele Ann Renfroe, both of Las Vegas; four sisters, Carol Cramsey of Phoenix, Marilee Monoe of Geneseo, Kan., Shirley Koehn, of McPherson, Kan., and Karen Stead of Slidell, La.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Kevin Lee Reidelbach, 48, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 29, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio. A resident for 14 years, he was a web adviser, painter, and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his father, William L. Reidelbach; one son, Jason L. Reidelbach; one brother, Bill Reidelbach; and two sisters, Karen Stanford and Sharon Boyer.

Vaughn E. Russell, 43, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 5, 1958, in Arizona. A resident for 43 years, he was a construction foreman and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Gay; one son, Matt Russell, one stepson, Gary Glendinning, and one brother, Mark Russell, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

George 'Coach' Soule
George "Coach" Soule, 85, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born July 3, 1917, in Lewiston, Maine. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired physical education coach at Hyde Park Junior High School, a retired precinct captain for the Clark County Democratic Party, a World War II Navy veteran, a life member of the Elks and a member of Southern Nevada Officials Association and AAU.
He is survived by three daughters, Patricia Stark of Phoenix and Beverly Hutton and Pamela Goodman, both of Las Vegas; one son, George H. Soule Jr. of Edwardsville, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Arnold Waite, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born May 22, 1925, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A resident for 41 years, he was a retired estimator for a printing company and spent 52 years in the printing business and was a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann; two daughters, Bonnie Sue Spencer and Carolyn Bolding, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Carol Hensch of Cedar Rapids; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.
