The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff will visit Nellis Air Force Base Wednesday as part of a series of Air Force experiments to test emerging technologies.
Air Force Gen. Richard B. Myers will observe the Joint Expeditionary Force Experiment 2002 operations, which combine live, virtual and simulated forces to test technologies officials hope will further improve military performance.
The program is part of Millennium Challenge 02, a congressionally mandated experiment and exercise designed to simulate a battlefield in the year 2007 in order to assess new methods of planning and organization.
Nellis is the last of four stops in Myers' nationwide tour.
