CARSON CITY, Nev. - Four days after President Bush called for nationwide ceilings on medical malpractice awards, state lawmakers planned to meet Monday in a rare special session to impose such caps in Nevada.

Census shows Nevada remains divorce capital
LAS VEGAS - Nevada continues to be the nation's divorce capital, clinging to a title it first captured more than a century ago. Nevada has the highest percentage of divorced residents in the country at 13.8 percent, recently released figures from Census 2000 show. The national average is 9.7 percent.
