Restaurant chain expanding to Green Valley

Thursday, July 25, 2002 | 11:17 a.m.

Claim Jumper Restaurants said it will open a restaurant in Henderson, its second location in the Las Vegas area.

The Irvine, Calif., company said it expects to open in late summer or early fall of 2003 in American Nevada Corp.'s Corporate Center office park in the Green Valley area of Henderson, at Interstate 215 and Green Valley Parkway.

The 14,500-square-foot eatery will be open for lunch, dinner and late-night dining. Its other Las Vegas location is at Charleston Boulevard and Ft. Apache Road.

The restaurant is expected to employ as many as 230 people.

The Greenspun family owns the Las Vegas Sun and American Nevada. American Nevada officials could not be reached for comment this morning.
