Joel Alyn
Christopher Joel Alyn, 33, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 25, 1969, in Phoenix. A resident for 18 years, he was a chef.
He is survived by his mother, Bette Grayson; two sisters, Julie Velez and Laurie Alyn; two brothers, Nick Mercer and Brian Grayson; and his grandmother, Rosemary MacArthur.
A memorial service will 11 a.m. Saturday in Central Christian Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive, Henderson.
James A. Bergren Sr.
James A. Bergren Sr., 50, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 19, 1951, in Chicago. A resident for six years, he was a flooring installer.
He is survived by his wife, Pam; two sons, James Bergren Jr. of Chicago and Brian Bergren of Chicago; one daughter, Sara Bergren of Las Vegas; his father, Leroy Bergren of Chicago; his two brothers, Ronald Bergren of Scherville, Ind., and Allan Bergren of Crown Point, Ind.; one sister, Janice Riordan of Crown Point; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Victory Outreach Church, 810 E. Lake Mead Blvd. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Marvin H. Cody
Marvin H. Cody, 73, of Amity, Ore., died Monday in an Oregon medical center. He was born Dec. 25, 1928, in Natchitoches, La. A former Las Vegas resident, he was a Korean War Navy veteran, a plumber, worked at a missile base, and was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Union.
He is survived by his wife, Marylyn; one son, Cody of Amity; two daughters, Brenda Sue Fields of McMinnville, Ore., and Sandra Lynn Layton of Henderson; one brother, Kendrich Cody, and one sister, Gertie Ray Heflin, both of Houston; and seven grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Oregon. Macy & Son Funeral Directors, 135 N. Evans, McMinnville, OR 97128-4682, is handling arrangements.
Henry DiLiddo
Henry DiLiddo, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 20, 1932, in Shrewsbury Mass. A resident for one year, he was a retired motor vehicle clerk for the Post Office and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; two sons, Robert DiLiddo of Las Vegas and James DiLiddo of Seattle; one daughter, Dorothy DiLiddo of Charlottesville, Va.; two brothers, John DiLiddo of Worcester, Mass., and Robert DiLiddo of Boston; two sisters, Theresa Shimkoski and Mary Stewart, both of Worcester; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

'Buddy' Epstein
Howard Stanton "Buddy" Epstein, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 10, 1925, in Philadelphia. A resident for 23 years, he co-owned Eppies Tire Service in Philadelphia and was a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Farren Epstein of Las Vegas; one son, Jeffrey Epstein of Pittsburgh; one brother, Joel Epstein of Philadelphia; and two grandchildren.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Virginia A. Johnson
Virginia A. Johnson, 61, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 21, 1940, in East Carroll, La. A resident for 42 years, she was a school district custodian.
She is survived by her husband, Willie; one son, Sedrick Johnson of Las Vegas; two brothers, Eddie Brown of Tallulah, La., and Freddy Brown of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, 1117 F St.

'Kitty' Junge
Caroline "Kitty" Junge, 62, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born March 5, 1940, in Sioux City, Iowa. A resident for 22 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; two daughters, Deborah Schechinger of Harlan, Iowa, and Theresa Nelson of Las Vegas; one son, Steve Junge, and her mother, Mildred Schweitzer, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., handled arrangements.

Kelly Louise Karvonen, 36, of Moapa died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 17, 1966, in Las Vegas. A resident for 36 years, she was a homemaker and a Desert Storm Air Force veteran.
She is survived by her husband, James J.; two daughters, Alexandra Karvonen and Victoria Karvonen, and one son, Logan Karvonen, all of Moapa; her mother and stepfather, Juanita J. and Gerald A. Brimer of Las Vegas; two sisters, Tammy Nee of Chandler, Ariz., and Stacy Bright of Las Vegas; and one stepsister, Lasandra Rodriguez of Beaverton, Ore.
Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Adolph J. Kubeldis
Adolph J. Kubeldis, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. He was born Jan. 4, 1917, in Shenandoah, Pa. A resident for seven years, he was a retired carpenter.
He is survived by three sons, Robert Kubeldis of North Las Vegas, Dennis Kubeldis of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Joseph Kubeldish of Ringtown, Pa.; three sisters, Emma and Agnes, both of Michigan and Regina of Mahanoy City, Pa.; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Richard Anthony Primavera
Richard Anthony Primavera, 52, of Henderson died July 15 in Henderson. A business coordinator and a member of the Godfathers Club and a basketball and football coach, he was born April 7, 1950, in Cliffside Park, N.J.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Danielle; two daughters, Ann Green Gina and Tina Ann Godwin, both of Florida; three sons, Anthony Rocco Primavera of Arizona, Nicholas Owen Primavera and James Redwine of Nebraska; and two brothers, Michael Primavera of Florida and Owen Primavera of Iowa.

Sarah E. Rogers
Sarah E. Rogers, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 7, 1919, in Missouri. A resident for 10 years, she was a custom home builder for 10 years.
A memorial service will be in Malibu, Calif.

Eleanor Louise Smith, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 5, 1916, in Cathlamet, Wash. A resident for 34 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one sister, Betty Rollins of Bellingham, Wash.; one brother, Jack Linquist of Cathlamet; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Curtis Smith
Michael Curtis Smith, 49, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A cab driver for 20 years and a member of Aircraft Owner and Pilot Association, he was born March 7, 1953, in California.
He is survived by two brothers, Gary F. Smith of Boone, N.C., and Mark D. Smith of San Rafael, Calif.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Helen L. Van Hyfte
Helen L. Van Hyfte, 68, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born March 13, 1934, in Washington, Iowa. A resident for 16 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Victor; three daughters, H. Suzanne Van Hyfte, Crystal Van Hyfte and Lea Anne Van Hyfte, and one son, Victor R. Van Hyfte II, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Merle Duane Dawson of Spokane, Wash.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until a noon service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Wesley W. Walker
Wesley W. Walker, 53, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. A carpenter, he was born Oct. 8, 1948, in California.
He is survived by one daughter, Amber Van Winkle of California; and four grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in California. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Jack B. Wilson
Jack B. Wilson, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born Jan. 2, 1917, in Cleburne, Texas. A resident for five years, he was a retired administrative officer for the federal government and a World War II and Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Vi; one daughter, Jacqueline Gratton of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
