Nine Las Vegas-area artists and organizations will share over $7,000 in the first quarter of Jackpot Grant funding from the Nevada Arts Council.
Jackpot Grants award up to $1,000 each to assist artists and arts organizations in producing arts-related projects. Recent projects include arts exhibitions, theatrical performances and travel assistance to workshops and conferences.
The Nevada Arts Council was founded as a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs in 1967 to develop and promote the arts.
The grants are awarded quarterly. Application forms are available online and can be accessed through the Nevada Arts Council website at www.nevadaculture.org. The deadline for applications is Sept. 2.
