Mabel Irene Anderson

Mabel Irene Anderson, 95, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born March 28, 1907, in Minneapolis. A recent resident of Las Vegas, she was a retired schoolteacher.

She is survived by two sons, James E. Anderson of Henderson and J. Roger Anderson of Tequesta, Fla.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Minneapolis. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Phyllis Berman

Phyllis Berman, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 31, 1916, in Illinois. A resident for 27 years, she worked in sewing machine operations and retail.

She is survived by her husband, Joey.

A memorial service will be 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Floyd H. Burton

Floyd H. Burton, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 25, 1925, in Seattle. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired carpenter in the lumber industry and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by one niece, Jeanie Karalskos of Anaheim, Calif.; and one friend, Josie Bustos of Las Vegas.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Genevieve D. Carr

Genevieve D. Carr, 95, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 18, 1906, in Thendara, N.Y. A resident for eight years, she was a retired public high school teacher.

She is survived by one daughter, Sheila Malley of Las Vegas; three sons, Michael Carr of North Bergen, N.J., Jerome Carr of Wellesley, Mass., and Victor Carr of Columbia, Mo.; one brother, Duane LaFleche of Albany, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Graveside services will follow at 4 p.m. Friday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Patricia Mae Chumbley

Patricia Mae Chumbley, 54, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 19, 1947, in Hammond, Ind. A resident for 30 years, she was a hairdresser at Adams Hair Salon.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; two stepdaughters, Denise Delgado and Lisa (Scott) Grigoletti of Doleville, Ind., one sister, Lois DeVries of Crete, Ill., Eunice Boer of Borculo, Mich., Donna Hoekstra of Demotte, Ind., Lorraine Schroeder of Schererville, Ind., and Joyce Haak of Lansing, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Dorothy C. Crawford

Dorothy C. Crawford, 94, of Lake Forest, Calif., died Saturday in Santa Ana, Calif. She was born July 7, 1908, in Norfolk, Neb. A resident for 15 years, she was a law office secretary and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Shahinian of Lake Forest, Calif.; one brother, Charles Wehrer of Norfolk, Neb.; and three granddaughters.

Cryptside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Mausoleum. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

William Drozdick

William Drozdick, 60, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 3, 1941, in Scranton, Pa. A resident for three years, he was a retired drafting supervisor from the federal government and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; two sons, William Drozdick Jr. of Broomfield, Colo., and Gregory Drozdick of Albuquerque, N.M.; one brother, John Drozdick Jr. of Scranton; and one sister, Mary Lagana of Carbondale, Pa.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Gabriel Byzantine Catholic Church, 2250 E. Maule Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Irene E. Espinoza

Irene E. Espinoza, 57, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 2, 1945, in Douglas, Ariz. A resident for 30 years, she was a teacher in Clark County for 28 years.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; one son, Carlos R. Espinoza of Henderson; one stepdaughter, Zina Espinoza of Phoenix; her parents, Elvira and Antonio Encinas, and one sister, Irma Pettes, all of Douglas, Ariz.; three brothers, Ernesto Encinas of Tucson, Henry Encinas of Las Vegas and Edward Encinas of Portal, Ariz.

Services will be 2:15 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Visitation will follow from 2:30-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary. Church services will be 3 p.m. Friday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson.

Mary Griego

Mary Griego, 77, of North Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 24, 1925, in Winslow, Ariz. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired custodian for the county government.

She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Madrid of Belen, Minn., and Roseann Bowers and Margaret Chandler, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Gene Griego and Michael Margaret, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until a 4 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Hilda 'Heidi' Johnson

Hilda "Heidi" Johnson, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 17, 1932, in Puerto Rico. A resident for eight years, she was a retired supervisor in the aircraft industry.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; one son, Al Irizarry of San Leandro, Calif.; one stepbrother; and one stepsister.

Services are scheduled two hours prior to an 11 a.m. visitation Thursday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Graveside services will follow at 9:20 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Chance Justice

Chance Justice, an infant, died Monday, his date of birth, in a local hospital. He was born July 22, 2002, in Henderson.

He is survived by Dwayne and Misty Justice; one brother, Jorden Justice of Las Vegas; his grandparents, Larry and Brenda Poynor; his great-grandparents, G.W. Poynor of Hugo, and May Kirkpatrick of Canton, N.C., and Elsie and Red Howard of Asheville, N.C.

Esther Maureen McIntosh

Esther Maureen McIntosh, 97, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 1, 1905, in Illinois. A resident for one year, she was a retired hotel executive.

She is survived by one sister, Marjorie Pilcher of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Henry J. Mostowski

Henry J. Mostowski, 77, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 27, 1924, in Pennsylvania. A resident for seven years, he was a retired fabricator for a steel corporation, a World War II Marine Corps veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Alfreda; two daughters, Paula Clair and Nancy Donatelli; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 12:40 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Charlie Mae Northern

Charlie Mae Northern, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 17, 1924, in Albany, Ga. A resident for 21 years, she was a public administrator of the V.A. hospital and a member of the Detroit Idlewilders Social Club, a member of the DSD Group and Pokeno Group.

She is survived by one daughter, Gwendolyn Northern Whitfield of Detroit and Al Northern of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Thursday in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private.

David Novick

David Novick, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A payroll and accounting clerk, he was born June 17, 1930, in New York.

He is survived by his sister, Selma Russell of New York.

Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

L.G. Polf

L.G. Polf, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A retired camera operator for the federal government and a Korean War Navy veteran, he was born April 24, 1932, in Turpin, Okla.

He is survived by three sons, Gary Lee Polf, David E. Polf and William Dean Polf; his parents, Felton and Opal Watkins; one brother, Harold Dean Polf; one sister, Barbara Citak; and three great-grandchildren.

Wendelin Loree Saunders, 52, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 12, 1949, in California. A resident for 28 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Tonya L. Clifton, two sons, Shawn P. Saunders and Christopher J. Saunders, and one brother, Jeffrey J. Watson, all of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Marie B. Skoro

Marie B. Skoro, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 29, 1913, in Italy. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired fashion designer and a member of the bridge club at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony Skoro, and one daughter, Carolyn M. Skoro-Clear, both of Las Vegas.

Leonard H. Trapane Jr., 58, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 29, 1943, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 12 years, he was an electrician.

He is survived by four sons, Leonard of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Richard of Royce City, Texas, Anthony of Las Vegas and John of Houston; three sisters, Dorothy of Eastchester, N.Y., and Lee and Mary, both of Rocky Point, N.Y.; and six grandchildren.

Church services will be 1-8 p.m. Thursday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.
