Anderson to speak to support libraries
The Henderson Citizens for Neighborhood Libraries will hold its campaign kickoff from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Green Valley Ranch's BullShrimp Restaurant, to support efforts to educate the residents of Henderson about the need for more libraries in their community and to encourage them to vote for the 4-cent tax override on Nov. 5.
Guest speaker will be comedian Louie Anderson. For more information, call Lisa Mannino at 222-2362.
MountainView offers weekly tours
MountainView Hospital offers free weekly tours of its Women's Services Department, including birthday suites and newborn nursery.
Tours are led by the hospital's labor and delivery nurses.
Tours are scheduled twice a week at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and 1 p.m. Saturday at the hospital, 3100 N. Tenaya Way at U.S. 95 and Cheyenne Avenue.
Advance registration is required by calling 233-5300.
